Dave, your poem, "Gracious Death," is nearly a sonnet (i.e. 12 rather than 14 lines) in which all of the lines are iambic hexameter, which is also known as an alexandrine. (Thanks to Google research.) *Wink* Great poem by the way in which you are remembering a dear family member or friend, who had recently (on that date) passed away.

In addition here is my own offering of iambic pentameter.
