because of the unusual rhyme scheme. The elements of the EP Johnson Quintet are:
stanzaic, written in any number of quintets (5 line stanzas)
syllabic, syllables per line 8-9-9-9-8 (patterned after the first stanza of Ms. Johnson's poem.)
rhymed, a1bbba2 a1ccca2 a1ddda2 etc
the last 1 or 2 words of L1 and L5 in the first stanza are repeated as the last 1 or 2 words of L1 and L5 of each subsequent stanza.


My Way of Life

In my way of life, I love all-
Those whom I love and those I don’t know.
Human or animal, this I show.
I’ve love for the world , It’ll never go.
Many say, “I must be awful slow”.

In my way of life, I love all-
I learned to love all from childhood.
My mother told me, “ good girls should .”
I told my mom that, “I surely would.”
She told me, I was a living doll.

In my way of life, I love all-
I met a man and I fell in love.
He is as gentle as a white dove.
He was given to me from above.
He is quite handsome and very tall.

In my way of life, I love all-
Don’t be confused, we are all one child.
As children of God, we should all be mild.
When evil prevails it’s soul’s exiled.
God is sad when His children do fall.

In my way of life, I love all-
I ask for God’s help and He was there.
Everything that He has done is fair
We all need to show the world we care.
All you have to do in life is call.
