Then what was death? But nonexistence,
Chaos, powerless, and undefined,
Colorless, nothingness, unlit,
Uncomprehending, and empty,
Soulless.

Then what was life? Desire, persistence,
Light, illumination redefined--
The color spectrum, a rainbow--
Perception, movement, non-empty,
Wholeness.
