A place for discussion on poetry, reviews, contests, etc. |
In order to highlight the talent within our group, this week we are featuring the Garden Lace, which was invented by our own concrete_angel. The Garden Lace is structured in a series of tercets with an interlocking rhyme scheme: ABA, BCB, CDC, DED, EAE. The first and second lines of each tercet have eight syllables each, while the third line has fourteen syllables, as demonstrated in the following link: "Awash in Rhyme" Iambic meter is permitted, but not required. Let the creativity flow from your soul! Dave "The Poet's Place " |
