elect specific details (factual or fictional) and appropriate language for the circumstances to compose a poem expressing your attitude about the human condition, individually or collectively.

Love Prevails
By Lisa Noe

I am dreaming of a new world.
One free of hate and prejudice.
Where black and white are gray,
And love is happening every day.

Not a world of aliens and spacecraft .
A world of humans loving humans.
The only race we have is the human race.
Living here on earth, not in outer space.

Where we care for our world and take care of it.
We work hard helping one another instead of sitting.
Come together all the world to save the planet.
Even though some would say, it’s not had it.

Love will prevail if we just wait a little bit.
And scorn those who try to spread their hate.
Take from power those who do not, the people serve.
Let them never throw the people a curve.
