The meticulous trajectory

                                            of the pendulum measures

                                                                                    the limits of my existence,

                                     swinging relentlessly back and forth

from a swirling cataclysm of color

                                            to the abysmal blackness

                                                                            that is the dark cave of my soul.

                                     More than the normal amount of noise

pounds its cacophonic clamor

                                       into the fragile fabric of my psyche

                                                                                   until the broken boundaries

                                               of mortality set my spirit

                                                   free to experience
                                                            eternal
                                                            peace.
