The Shadorma is a six-line stanza form which seems to be a variation of the Japanese Haiku and Tanka tradition with its syllabic requirement of 3-5-3-3-7-5 and no rhyming requirement. As Viola Berg explains in her Pathways For the Poet, "Its beauty is enhanced when a strong word is used to end each line."
