I like so many of his plays that it's a difficult choice. Of the historical plays, it has to be Henry V but otherwise there are so many. Long thought about it leads me to suggest Lear but a very strong contender is Coriolanus. The other candidates like Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, are so well known that it seems too obvious to prefer them. |
