Okay, that last bit was kind of funny. I wasn't laughing at the pencil in your butt.

Still, my takeaway wouldn't have been "don't be a show-off;" it would have been "always look behind you before sitting down." I learned that in third grade too, when the height of humor involved fart jokes and pulling someone's chair out just as they were about to sit down.
