Title: The Nightwatch

In the night of woeful waiting
my thoughts cry out as a child.
"Hope has fled you," they stand baiting.
Head leans full on One so mild.

Fights between th'unseemly and real.
Little boy stands froze in pain.
What to do plus what not to feel.
"Christ Alone is where I gain."

Please, watch for me, O Lord of all these things!
Grant me a Home, where my heart ever sings.
