A lone puddle of water ripples quietly from the drafting wind whispering in through the creases of stone slabs surround the whole room. It lightly splashes some from a droplet leaking in from the ceiling to add to the horrible taunt as it widens the puddle slightly more. You lean your body forward with your tongue outstretched to try and lap at the teasing cold water just before your very muzzle, but you are only mere inches away from the liquid. Whining and panting for the need to drink something, you could only lose the strength to keep yourself pressed forward and slump back, flattening your backside right onto the stone wall once more.
Chains are locked around your wrists that keep you trapped against the wall, as well as shackles around your ankles keep you on your knees and contained to the floor too. It had been nearly two whole days since you were locked up inside of the dark, black-bricked cell. The place was dank, old, rotting with moss and age, and moistness of the rocks and the rippling puddle of water before you could only mean that it had rained today, and some of the water was there to greet you this morning.
Your mouth is dry, your eyes and lungs are tired, and your stomach cries out weakly for food. The guards posted outside of the cell's hall were supposed to be giving you a daily meal, but it seems that they 'forgot'. Not a single guard showed you any remorse before or after they chained you up in this place, with the whole academy of 'justice-serving' troops being nothing more but a corrupt league under the hand of the mayor and town power-holders. As if you cared about what they thought of you or how they treated you, you just needed to devise a way to get out of town, and plenty far enough away so that you won't be hunted.
Your name is Garnet, and you are a Zoroark imprisoned for murder.
A sudden wooden door creaks open and footsteps patter their way into the hall. Struggling to focus your eyes to the jail cell bars, you notice a familiar pair of legs stand in your groggy vision's view. A spear's bladed tip taps at the bars to ring in high-pitched metal sounds as a cocky male voice chuckles, "Wakey wakey, you don't want to sleep in on your own execution, do you? Up at em'! It's not everyday that you get to be publicly killed in front of the whole town!"
If you had enough moisture in your body, you'd spit at him if you could. "K-Keep talkin' like that, and it won't be my death th-they see when you take me outside..."
The guard grins, "Awwwh, the voodoo shapeshifter has feelings." The cocky and sneering troop was none other than the main captain of the entire town's guard; a Braviary anthro named Captain Pierce. The avian stood tall and built, packed with enough muscle and height to intimidate his lower grunts and any who opposed him. Navy blue and crimson feathers coat most of his body, with yellow scaled legs and arms collected with light golden armor to show off his authoritative status. Even his black talons, three in the front and on his heel were sharpened to look threatening, followed with his black claw-tips by his fingers. A golden helm etched with sapphires around his smug face prove all too well that he enjoyed his power, and enjoyed flashing it out even more. And lastly, his large wings jetting out from his backside give a little flap of enjoyment.
From his leather belt, he slid out the jail's keys and unlocked your cell door, stepping inside and kneeling down to your level for your eyes to connect. "Don't be mad with us, dearie. We gave you chance to come clean so you wouldn't have to face this, but you pleaded not guilty. Murdering the mayor was a pretty nasty thing to do, and the town wants your blood. Even if we didn't kill you, heh, the citizens sure would make your life Hell."
"Hell sounds like a pretty fitting place for you right now. And the town only wants me dead because you told them I outright tried to assassinate him and hide the evidence, even though I was the one who told you that he was dead! That bastard called me into his room and tried to rape me, and you know it!" You snipe back. Your hands pull at the chains in a pathetic endeavor to claw the fucker's face off.
The eagle smirks and pats your head, "Self-defense means nothing to the town's council, you foolish mutt. From the people's view, our mayor was a community leader, and societal backbone, and most importantly, the sweetest and nicest Empoleon that ever existed. We set up his image so perfectly for those foolish citizens, but then you had to go off and do something as stupid as killing him..."
He grabs you by the neck to squeeze with a cold glare as you grunt out, "N-Nghh! C-Cause he wouldn't b-back off and tried to kill me wh-when I fought...!"
"You were just some low-life servant girl to him in his manor. No one's going to believe you. From what they gossiped and gathered, the town's so fixated that you were a jealous little rat in the manor, so furious at how much the village loved our leader, and how rich he was. Greed made you go into a blind rage in an attempt to assassinate him, and you snuck into his room to stab him in his own bed!"
"The same bed he tried to force me against, y-you monster." You snarl weakly.
Your words seem to only entertain the bird, and he releases the hold around your neck to give you breathing room. "Heh heh heh, you should've let him have his way with you, and he would've treated you like a queen." He used the wooden staff-end of his spear to poke under one of your furred breasts, giving it a few bounces to it. "...A shame. I could've had some fun with you as well, but the people of our town are impatient. So let's get on our way to the town square, shall we?"
You grit your teeth as your ruby eyes fixate on the evil bird in front of you, never peeling away as he unlatched the chains from the wall with his keys, but that still left your hands cuffed and bound in front of you.
He loses his sense of vile humor and orders in his natural hostile tone, "Up. Make any other sudden moves, and I'll make sure your death won't be a quick and simple beheading. It will be slow, and I will take my time with you."
Struggling to get up to a wobbly stance, you didn't feel like dying now. You weakly stagger away in front of him and walk yourself out of the jail cell and down the hall. The cold breeze made you shiver, and want to just collapse there and then. There wasn't a need for clothes in your world, but being stuck in darkness, cold, and left hungry has made you weary and sick. What you would give to be in a warm bed right now.
Captain Pierce from behind you gives you a shove to motivate into going faster that only forces you to want to topple down already since your body already felt like fragile glass. You just needed to make it outside, and then perhaps you could map out a better plan of escape in your head. Before making it to the large door leading out of the town's guard assembly building, it bursts open with a Jolteon guard rushing out of it and pushing you to the side, making you fall onto your back and yelp.
The eeveelution shows no sympathy or attention towards you and exclaims to Pierce, "Captain! We have an issue!"
The eagle scowls and looks down at the smaller Jolteon anthro, "What now? I thought I told you to take care of the fight down at the south barn! I have an execution to actuate."
The Jolteon worriedly looks at the captain, nervously explaining to the avian, "Th-That's just it, sir! Several fights are escalating all over town. We have some kind of riot I think. The execution needs to be postponed, because we need every guard we have to control all o-"
The canine would be cut off once a large body slams in through the brick wall, forcing the Jolteon into a pile of rubble from being bulldozed into another wall while you and Pierce are sent flying back in the exploding rock. You crash down and whine out as you barely manage to get onto your face and knees, whereas Captain Pierce flaps his wings and gets right back up with his spear drawn, "G-Ghh...wh-what the Hell?"
Out from the dust stomps out a fat and large Aggron, drooling with an open mouth and staring off at the Braviary with glowing purple eyes. The metal beast licks around at its lips with its cock throbbing hard and glistening at its end with hot pre that disturbs Pierce beyond all of his comfort. He tries to speak with the crazed Aggron, yelling, "S-Sergeant Rail! What are you doing?" The Aggron merely screeches out a metallic roar before blasting forward in a charge that the captain nearly gets hit by before he sidesteps out of the way. "R-Rail! Stop messing around, or I'll have to put you down! That is an order!"
After coming to a heavy stop, the reptile just turns around with a low groan until it charged again. Following up from his demand, Captain Pierce dashes forward as well with his spear readied and stabbing outward at the oncoming Aggron. The massive lizard simply smashes the bladed end of the spear with its armored forearms and slams into the cawing bird, sending Captain Pierce flying through a brick wall and out onto the outside lawn somewhere of the building. You stagger up with trembling legs before falling onto your rear with a grunt.
The sound causes the horny Aggron to turn its head towards you, seeing a very easy meal sitting before him. Your ears fold back with a heavy weight going down your throat as you try scooting yourself backwards, barely making any distance between you and the purple-eyed freak with its heavy stomps making its towering appearance gain closer to you. Glancing down, you spot that the keys on Pierce's belt had flung off and sat on the floor between you and the Aggron, but the door out of the place was just right behind. Perhaps you could just escape, but your wrists and ankles are still chained! You might not make it very far.
You needed to come up with something quick, or who knows what this crazy lizard wanted to do with you...
