Jack slowly started to stir as a buzzing noise came from his right. He sat up groggily and reached over to the source of the noise: his phone. Jack looked down at the screen which read "7:00 Stop Snooze," a sign of his morning alarm going off. The tired 25-year-old stopped the alarm and tried as quietly as he could to slide out of the bed. His girlfriend, Jess, was beginning to stir beside him as he stood up out of bed and walked over to his closet. Jack heard Jess, in her half-sleeping state, murmur about him getting up and complaining that he disturbed her. Jack just quietly laughed as he selected his outfit for the day then headed to the bathroom. Quietly closing the door behind him, Jack undressed then hopped in the shower.
Some thirty minutes later, the young man came walking out of the bathroom, well dressed and well groomed, physically ready to start the day, though struggling mentally to wake up. Jess, by this point, had sat up and was scrolling on her phone as her boyfriend of a year walked out of the bathroom. "Good morning," Jack warmly smiled. Jess slowly looked over to Jack and returned his smile to the best of her tired abilities. "Good morning, Jackie. There should be some food ready in the fridge. I prepped it last night," Jess replied. Jack walked over and kissed his girlfriend on the forehead before leaving the room and entering the apartment kitchen. He opened the fridge and found the exact meal Jess was talking about. He then took it out of the fridge and heated up the stove, ready to prepare his morning meal. Jack diced up the ingredients, popped them into a pan, then cooked for a little while before setting the final product on a plate and heading to the dining room table. He took out his phone while he ate, choosing to watch a show in the meantime. Once Jack finished his breakfast and 8:00 rolled around, it was time for him to leave the apartment. He told Jess he loved her and to have a good day before rolling out to his destination for the day.
