Quinceanera, Sweet Sixteen, Prom
Too old, too fast
Twenty-two

Now
It’s fun, driving, classes, college
Going places, sight-seeing
Twenty-two

Looking back
Held in set routines, child’s smiles
Yet never forgetting I had
Twenty-two

Wishing
I wasn’t so wild, so careless
Yet satisfied enough with life
Twenty-two

When you’re young, decisions come easy.
When you’re old, choices haunt you.
