- wanted to drop a quick line and just say hello to a fellow Jimmy Buffett fan.

My sister-in-law (at the time) took me to my first concert. When she bought her CDs of his albums, she gifted me all of her cassette tapes. Played his songs so often I wore out the tapes. When I met my husband, he was a bit dubious. I soon had his mind changed.

As I sit here typing, he is playing 'Distantly in Love' on his guitar.

I've always loved that his songs can make me laugh and cry.

'Knees of My Heart'
'Take Another Road'
'Gypsies in the Palace'
'Son of a Sailor'
'Little Miss Magic'
'When the Coast is Clear'
'Breathe in, Breathe out, Move on'

And so many, many more.

He's one of the very few famous individuals that I wept when I heard he had passed on. I lost my dad 16 days later and my mom the day after Christmas that year. Mom loved his songs. Dad not so much. But I still like to think they get together now and again up where they are.
