When the heart gets broken the muse goes to town! Dude you can write! I just wish this didn't have to come from real life and that your heart didn't take a beating like this. You know your hopes and dreams can be rebuild. You just have to believe. Thanks for sharing your emotions. I can offer no suggestions, only a really big super hug!!
Heaven is a trip worth waiting for!! I know that sometimes it is a shame that we have to wait so long, and carry such a heavy load. I can really feel the need for the grace to come. I just don't want it to come too fast, I have to find my peace on earth. Thanks Pat, for always sharing a thought that I can relate too. I love reading your poetry!!
Hugs,

I don't know the Divine Mother Isis but I wish I did. I love this. I can't think of anything more wonderful then having your heart and mind twisted together on a spiritual journey. Not an easy task and yet you make it sound so joyful and exciting. I love this and hope your journey is a blessed one. Thank you for sharing this and I am so glad you were highlighted by Simply Positive.
I say get up now and finish this! So you have your eyes shading the light, but what eles is going on? Why are you so tired? What am I missing? But like the whole story??? This is too much of a tease, you need to get going so I don't feel so left out of the story line!
Welcome to Writing.com and I hope you enjoy the Birthday celebrations!
The what if's in life can be so haunting and so emotionally bonding. I love the flow of this dramatic poem, but what scares me is the emotions of not letting go, of the guilt that can't be denied. It is so horrible to feel so lost in this way. I can still feel it. Your words speak so deeply. I love that in poetry, thank you so much for sharing!!
I can't believe you have joined the blogging world. I tell ya, I love my blog. I can't wait to talk to myself and leave stupid messages and bizarre ramblings of my inner mind. A blog is something that can be so personal and yet open to the community. Welcome dear girl and I hope you find lot's of joy writing here!!
Hugs,
Michelle

What I have learned about hard times is that they make us stronger! I am in awe of your courage and this positive note. I do believe we have the choice to make plans about our life. We can either get knocked down or we can get up and fly! I want to fly with you forever! Thank you so much for sharing this! It's so important to pay attention to ourself as well as those we love so MUCH! Thank you so much for sharing!!
I love to go dancing and miss those younger days when I was dating and I couldn't wait to get asked to the dance floor. I was pretty shy so I always wanted to be asked, but you know if I had my eyes on someone I might ask them. It sure is easier today then it was 20 years ago for girls to be more assertive. I still tend to like tradtional and by the results of this poll, I am not alone. Great idea...Have you told mom yet?
I wish I had more time to devote to the publishing of my work. I do have a book in print but I haven't been very successful in pushin it out the door! What a wonderful group and I am going to send a donation to keep you guys going! I really admire you dedication to this project.
This is a Showering Acts of Joy reivew! When did this happen? Oh man under construction?? It looks great to me. I love the kid colors and the way you have everything set up. Can you make me one? LOL Thanks for sharing, so it this like open to all the internet????
I have a seven year old and I love the first line adorable as much as innocent. That so describes my boy as well. I love this poem. I love the emotion, the flow and the message. I hope your son knows how lucky he is to have a dad that can appreciate his space. Great write and thank you for sharing your talent.
She is awake and she is living. I love that she can embrace all of nature right from her bed. I like to see the sun peak in the windows in the morning. I wish it could dance across my bed. This is very picture perfect and you have a depth here in your short story. Thank you for sharing your vision.
I found this on the reguest page. I like the message of your pain here, but feel you almost need to break up the thought patterns. You have a strong flow of words and yet they get weak when you talk about wanting to sleep and yet you need this person for living and yet you hate him? It gets a little confused at the part but you end strong. We all want to be loved back. I am not good at telling people where periods go and what needs to be changed, but I do think if you go back over this, you might see some places that can be changed.
I love the sound of "Taps" and it so sad when I hear it at a funeral. I have to say, hearing the bugle and the guns give me the chills. What an honor. I think this is one thing that the military does that I hope never ever changes. I know it made my Father's funeral very real. Thank you for sharing a very interesting poem/article. You have so much information here.
I have to say that I'm deeply touched by the impact of my feelings while reading this. The cold reality of missing someone and the reminder date. The emotional impact is amazing what you can do with words and how you make the meaning flow like butter. You have such wonderful talent. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome poetry. I hope life is treating you well!
I like poetry that can flow and share a moment or thought. I am not a huge stickler of style or all the technical names of poetry. It is best when it forms from the heart and you can at least see or undstand the emotions of it. You have a couple thoughts in this and I like the wording. Thanks for sharing your talent. Welcome to Writing.com.
Oh girl if God could talk! Can you imagine the conversations? I know he is real. I can feel him in my bones and I have had to listen for a long time to get him to leave me a message, but if I take the time and listen to the world spin around me, I know it is because of him. Faith is something you believe, you don't have to see. I hope he was able to answer your call. It's hard to believe when you are surrounded in darkness. The light has to come from within.
Oh what have we learned in nature? The male bird is so colorful. He has to do all the work to get the female to pay attention. Makes you wonder what is real?? I love that you feed all the birds and do the piegon's keep the other's from coming? I just wonder how much noise you must have. I have a little dog that makes so much noise we don't get the birds like we used too. I miss it. Thanks for sharing your backyard with all of us.
Oh I think we need to talk, Richard....Just how old are you? I think it's time you took a little drive down to the hosptiol and had your brains checks. I mean you know they have medication for this kind of memory loss. LOL Creative writing at it's best! Thanks for sharing a funny moment.
Uncle Lloyd must truely have been a special man to inspire such heavenly dovation and to make the stars shine so bright. I love the connection between earth, death and forever in the sky. I can not think of anything that could make this a better poem. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Now this poem reminds me of the sweet days of summer!!! I don't have a porch swing, but I do have an patio that I spend a lot of time on and the best part is I can write on my computer and listen to the lawn mowers and kids playing. It is the closest I get to enjoying both of my favorite things. I love that God has blessed you and that you take the time to refresh your soul with that knowledge. We really need his grace. Thank you so much for a wonderful picture into your life. Colorful and refreshing!
Is is destiny or destined? I am not sure, but I think that one word is the only one I stumble over. I love the flow of this and the image that life is a walk in the park, sometime you get the good end of the park and other times you get the night so fun walk in the park. Anyway to end up with love is the greatest of all endings. I love them to raise up and obey God. That is so true for me. I want my kids to live by a greater being then just me. It is nice to see you writing again. Welcome back MUSE.
When I seen that you wrote a new article about Danny, I couldn't wait to read it. I am in awe of all that you have had to overcome and work with. Yes, our stories are simular but we both know that Danny has a history that is so deep. I can't even imagine the life he must have had, before he was blessed by you and your husband. It is scary what can happen to a young child and the long lasting affect. He is indeed blessed. I know I have learned so much in school now about mental illness, but every person and case is different. You can't assume anything and you can never give up from looking for the right treatment. I do believe it is out there. Thank you so much for sharing such an important and wonderful story. I love the writing!!
No, matter how hard we have it, we always find a way thru the tunnel to the other side. Now that is the Grace of God!
It is my pleasure to offer you a Simply Positive review,
What fun to watch history in the making. I loved your line...Faded men crowd into excitement;
their paths crossed in exile, retired,
It's a wonderful way to describe elderly retired gentleman. I can see so much in just this. I don't know how to play chess, but I have been around a block or two to understand the pieces. You do a wonderful job of bringing the game alive. Thank you for that!
Write on!
