Very nice creation to your mother. And, it seems God gave you a very nice mother. You do write beautiful poetry. It is all there - love, play, companionship, caretaker, friend - all the titles of mom.

I love your "The Love You Can't Deny". It tells of my love past (to cancer). I hope your freedom is all that you wanted it to be. My favorite stanza is:

Let your spirit free while you dream (free or run free?)
Riding on the tail of a moonbeam.
Hold on to the love in your heart
As spirit lovers, never to part.

It is a wonderful poem and I am please that you have shared it.

Thanks,
Seabreeze

Hi 4Wheels,

I like your poem, One Handed Writer. You have a great flair for words. I encourage you to do more. You have written many words that I like...I like the way they flow. "Who will try to write no wrong. Because it just does not belong. Just want everyone to know. I am a one handed writer. Not a famous prize fighter." You may have a challenge because of having one hand but your creativity is tops! Let's see more!

Best to you,
Seabreeze

I still think Nero was the worst; Caligula probably close behind. Good poll that brings out our thinking process. Right now, Obama is probably falling in the "other".

Sorry but my choice isn't on here. It would be Obama. Nice poll though.

Nice collection of "write backs". I especially like the one from Roald Dahl. I am not familiar with the individual but it is impressive. Such a fun collection you have going. More to come??

Very nice indeed! I know of what you speak about being afraid to write or anything else. I was always shy and pushed myself one time and took a class where I sung in front of a small group. Best thing I ever did. No, my voice is not that good but I had fun.

Your poem is well written and says a lot....I love it. May I also say, welcome newbie!

Hope you will stop by and look at one of my creations.

Your fellow writer,

Oh how our mind can play games - imagination to feed our writings. I loved every minute of it. Your choice of words so well placed to "pull" me in. I believe we all have been somewhere, at some point in time, whereby you feel someone is watching. You brought me back to a couple of those places.

Thanks for the haunt.

I have recently been teaching myself chess and appreciate the words you have put to play in your poem. It brought back to me thoughts of my husband, who played, who has since past on. It also reminded me of a short video cartoon of an old man (cantankerous grins,) playing chess against himself in the park, Geri's Game AK (http://youtu.be/1m7dcbIKvlw) . The whole poem gave me smiles.

Thanks for the treat!

Very nice. I love the words you selected to use and how they flow. Eyes are so important when it comes to communication. You have told it well here. I read recently that, I believe, 93 % of our communication is body language...and those eyes carry a lot of weight. Thanks for sharing...

Amazing what are mind can tell us, if we let it. I like your words and its "flow". One will succeed because one tries and learns about life.

Lovely tribute to our Savior. I love your work. I have one poem about our Savior. It is a sestina poem. It wasn't easy to do but was fun. I had no idea the various styles of poetry until I did so research.

Thanks again for your loving writing.

Excellent. I love the words and how they flow. My favorite line:

"The children are at play
With balloons, balls and kites.
Moms with babes in strollers
Enjoy the nice spring sights."

You, my friend, have the talent...

Thanks,
Seabreeze

You have written an amazing testimony of your faith during the dark journey you have been questered to take. You have communicated to me your heart felt situation. Many would love to be able to communicate so well.

It is through our faith that we can even make these trips without completely crumbling. I believe you are correct in your assumption that we are players and we can only do our part - God does the rest. However, He loves us and gives us guidelines within his Word, the Bible. We can only love are child and tell him what we feel is right (Bible) and what the consequences are (Bible) because of our choices. This is what Christ did and taught. I truly believe that it also is our roll in life and we must play it out. We do are best and then God will do the rest.

You can see how touched I was by your story. I hope you were not offended by any of my comments. Thank you for sharing.

I like your trepidation, and I have learned about the triolet. I had to go look it up as it is not one I am familiar with. It is fascinating the many stanzas or methods in writing poetry.

You have done well with your lines and telling of your trepidation.
