Review of On My Own

In my heart this is a first. You seem to have learned(although every day in our Lord is learning) I will start again BB. You seem to have learned according to the words you have written in your poem, That you have clicked that the only way to success is to walk in his ways. That is so true. Does one know the work involved in walking in His ways. Unconditional commitment! I believe that the first step is prayer and finding yourself in Him. this takes time. It has taken me 33years to get to the place where I'm at with our Lord. Our Lord went to a quiet place when he needed to talk with his father and was always listening to him as he went about his daily work.
Problem!## Do nothing and get nothing solved.
Answer... The fervent(passionate) prayer of a righteous man/woman avails(benefits) much.
Only believe. It takes time for all of us.
Now... I am not perfect. I have procrastinated about a certain family ### problem and I have been the target for four years, being shunned because of a member of the family's lies. No-one has asked my side of the story and I have written proof that I am innocent. but as this is a spiritual battle, then it is my job to intercede. Something I have not yet done. I had two bereavements in my life and that weakened me enough to shut myself up like a snail going into his shell and not wanting to get involved with the outside. I am on the verge now of getting ready to intercede. This may take time and persistence on my part and Our Lord also teaches me/us in that intercession period. One previous intercession took six months. and in that time I was spat on, swore at, door slammed on my foot, called names, and letters, phone calls were torn up and ripped. I was shouted at in the market place by this same person and it was like looking at a snake.( I loved that person as Jesus loves) After six months of IC prayer one morning I heard a small voice say. It is finished and that day I went to the market and this person walked out of a shop and I put my arms up and she fell into my arms weeping. The spiritual battle was won. No easy task.
Your poem brings out this review. I hope it helps *Smile*

I will share this with you BB

Whaw! This is a wonderful piece of writing Doris and it hooked me from the start. the two plots that went on complimented your writing skill and the end although sad was executed well.
My husband was on life support for three days and I was told he would never come back and I had to make the decision for the machine to be switched of. he donated his liver and kidneys to three men who walked out of hospital and back to their families. I just hope that in his coma state he felt secure. I know he is with the Lord.

Thank you for allowing me into your world of writing
Well done Doris

Fancy. This is an incredible article. Going in and helping the elderly. you are an inspiration to others and I commend you. Spreading the gospel to others is not always an easy task and prayer is the foundation of each endeavour.*Angel*

Our elders when they come to the lord have a glow that even children see. I look after my father in law of ninety every week. He has no one who cares enough to see to him and if I don't then he would probably starve to death. I do this involuntary.(Like why me}as this is the third time I have been hooked by our Lord to serve in this area.
even as a younger mum I was called The Jesus lady by the neighbourhood children and they flocked to my house where I would have to sort their lives out. my house always had young people there. my Sunday school class of nine all came to the lord and I had to buy them all bibles. they are doing good now as young adults.

I would in the past go to the old peoples home and we (Pastor and group) would sing songs and make tea and chat with them.

I enjoyed reading your thoughts on this important subject.
Well done

Elgin. I like this one hundred word write. I saw the picture and action you painted with your words and the ants warning to man. Brrr! dosn.t bear to think. After all they are an intelligent species.

To rewrite your words and this is only my opinion. I would write it more like this:

"I have an announcement to make," I began, thinking about the day before. The night after. The morning.

Spotlights in the spacious press room decked in red and gold were blinding, bright, hot. Everyone was watching... I was the centre of attention. I cleared my throat. wishing I could have some water. making statements like this always made my mouth dry.

"The actions propagated against us will not be tolerated and as such will be responded in kind." I gulped a breath. There! That part was out in the open.
"Prepare yourselves! We shall show no mercy!"

I scuttled off the stage.

I hope that this is some help to you and find your thoughts and writing interesting.
Write more please.

Review of Mathew 5:13

Good morning, I don't have your name. *Smile*
This article that you have written on Matthew 5v13 You are the salt of the earth. but if the salt loses it's saltiness How can if be made salty again. it is a good sermon on how leaving the flock can bring danger to the individual.

The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. So there is much to be benefited to a man/woman who prays continually and this is just simply walking with our Father every day and not give up meeting together with one another.Knowing his presence, oh, if all could just grasp a little of his love they would see and feel and breath the unbelievable joy that he has for us.

I have been told even by my son that I light up a room when I walk in. I am humbled and know that it is the presence of our Lord that lives in me. I am just an ordinary woman but He lives in me.

Slacking on prayer is dangerous as it can cause difficulty. My sister once was very angry and spat accusations at me and I know where they came from. She had phoned me and said she had to have a biopsy in her breast. I slipped out the words that she didn't have cancer and immediately I said that I knew it was the Holy Spirit speaking through me. My sister turned like a snake and for six months she hated me. I tried contacting her in every way and even got my foot shut in her door as she slammed it. I prayed for six months in "The spirit" and on this last day. I locked my doors and rolled my sleeves up and what a prayer and a fight that was I was punching the air and telling Satan to get out of my sister. As I prayed in the spirit I heard a small voice whisper "It is finished". I felt such peace and was exhausted. I got ready and went to the town where we lived and coming out of the market my sis and mum. I put my arms up to hold her and she fell into them and cried like a baby telling me that she did not have cancer.

What I know is that fervent prayer opens heaven and we can expect to get results. it is a narrow road and not an easy one but His love keeps us and we lack nothing.
Waow! that's what your piece brought out of me today.

A good piece of writing and I haven't read the book you suggest, but I just might have a peek.
God bless and have a good day*Smile*

It is a difficult subject to write about and putting it into rhyme was a good idea.
Your character reveals painful memories of a father who comes out of a past that she had erased.
It was well worded and rounded .
It told the story and painted the picture of "The Meeting" between two strangers and ended . Maybe inconclusive.
I hope there is a second part. Maybe not.
a good write
Well done

Well DW, I don't think this is a little bit of nothing and this is my opinion only.*Smile*
I think this is a peek into your writing ability and it was condensed in to a portrait of the work that you can produce.

You introduced your character: but I don't know her name yet.
The time of day (dimming light).
Trees suggest a wooded area.
A good feeling yet eerie.
She had a curious mind. I am being drawn in.
She had nostalgia for the place. Meaning maybe she had been there before?
Then a plot... something winked, sparkled and then vanished into the dark.
I enjoyed a taste of your writing and am curious for more please
A nice insight into your thoughts

Review of Answered Prayer

Hi Drifter. This is so true. God has prepared a table before us in front of our enemies and so many just have TV meals. for instance don't want to spend time on too much praying or none at all except when needed. Then wonder why god hasn't sent the answer.

I always said that "Prayer Opens Heaven" and we are all guilty at times for not waiting on the Lord, even his disciples when he walked the earth, He asked his disciples to stand watch and when Our Lord came back from praying to his father, they were asleep, .Just like the peoples of the world are asleep and not standing watch.

Pray with out ceasing is the goal of the watchman and is a good way to live our lives.

Yum! yum! I'm for a lot of that*Smile*

I like what you wrote and that is what I got from it.
Thank you

Your thoughts producing a window into the soul is seen through the eyes. Each one of us has this ID entry point. Some have a contract to get past the point where others can't even glimmer, but there is one who sees all even if you hide under your bed or in a cave. The Creator of the soul knows our beginning even before we were knit in our mothers womb. He knows what our next move will be and he knows when we stumble. the Director of our lives is one that all should take note of and listen to.
He is the one who signs the contract of life on our behalf and even the hairs on our head are counted in this contract and of course our days are numbered.

I do believe that you have a deep talent for writing and that you are special. The light overcomes every dark corner.
Watery, thank you for allowing me into your thoughts and your lovely writing.

Meshellmabell, I remember that song and the tune a nice one in French.
The loss of a parent is like the mother plant has died.
Your poem expresses that loss so vividly. I can relate having suffered loss.
Could you only speak my name
Through my fingers like sand
So penetrating and realising that you are the generation that is the oldest now.
Fallen out of place. A gap that cannot be filled.
Your daughter has a likeness to your mother, so blessed she needs you. Holding her in your arms will help comfort you both.
This is a lovely poem with rich unashamed emotion.

This is a heart rent story and the words that come from mothers heart, her ache, her emptiness and loss.
I can understand now why you have grown strong because of the life issues you have had to endure at such a young age.
In life when things such as death touch us, we get a survival instinct that stays with us for our life time.
I hope that time heals the void that you have suffered. I know because I went through this twice and life has made me stronger.
This is a beautiful reflection of a mothers memory of her baby child.

This poem Is from a heart of wisdom.
A thinker, A philosopher.*Smile*
It has got me thinking about my clutter which consists mainly of books and papers and lists of to does.
It reminds me of the lust I had to fight off once! Oops!
We are all searching for something in our lives and only some of us find what we are looking for.

Svehal your words are from deep within and surfacing in a sea of life. a life that you as an individual choose. The pearls of the past are the treasures in your heart and there forever

Each day we wake to Gods canvas and he is the painter of the day. We are the colors in that painting and we have a choice which color we want to be each day.

'Without loosing one day we cannot have another day' are the words that I like in your poem and so true. like turning a page in the book of life we need to go on to see the whole story.

A nice poem please do keep writing

Nikola, such a beautiful poem.
Your characters' soul is painted on the canvas of this poem. Her words bought forth from deep within a lonely soul. I can see the her pale delicate pink skin and feel the touch of the snow flakes as they whet her face and melt causing her to catch her breath in a moment of embrace. She is lost in the moment and smiles gently at the joy she feels and memories surface to dance like pearls then disappearing in the Purity of whiteness.
