Review! *Angelic*

I am also reviewing this Word Search because I saw you highlight it on the Newsfeed. It was like you knew I was around and searching for this puzzle. *Shock*

First Thoughts:

It's not just any Word Search, this one is about spoken words used across Louisiana. I find Louisiana to be fascinating. I couldn't wait to delve in and start solving the puzzle. *SuitClub*

Further Thoughts:

I loved finding these words. Many I'm familiar with as my mother was French and she rocked us children when we were babies and sang a lullaby with the words "Fais Do Do." I know that since she did the same with my children when they were babies. Thus, I did it with my children as well... all five of them.

I recognize the French words, too. *BigSmile*

Parting Thoughts:

It was a very enjoyable puzzle to sink my brain into. There are 25 words to uncover. It was as if I was visiting New Orleans, again. I had been there many years ago. I had lived close to Galveston, Texas. And, are you really serious about not calling New Orleans "N'Awlins?" That's what Texans called it. At least in the area I lived in. *Laugh*

Conclusion:

I'm so happy I saw this highlighted on the Newsfeed. I had so much fun strolling down memory lane.

Conclusion:

Awesome Word Search! *Puzzle2*

Until next time-- Puzzle on!

My Thoughts:

In my search for more playful Word Search puzzles, I spotted this one. I couldn't resist giving it a try since I've actually been to Lake Havasu in Arizona and had a lovely time there. I walked over the historic London Bridge. Interesting that it's been rebuilt in a desert. Thankfully, the man made lake gave it something for us to cross over. It was so strange thinking about the footsteps that walked across this bridge back in Old London days. Jack The Ripper? My imagination does work overtime. *Laugh*

Further Thoughts:

Your puzzle had only 10 words to solve, so it's a simple level, but fun nevertheless. I loved it because I felt like I was revisiting the place in my thoughts.

Conclusion:

Good job. Relaxing activity for a busy brain grabbing a few moments of fun and games. *Bigsmile*

Until next time--Puzzle on! *Puzzle1*

I came across your poem by hitting the random Read and Review click over on the left side of the page. *Reading*

My Thoughts:

Oh, such a sad poem about loving someone who doesn't return that love. *Frown*

Your poem, like a prose-poem telling the story that highlights the pain of loss. It also shows the rejection by her of a poem written for her that had deep feelings, meant for her, yet, it meant nothing to her. She instead liked the poem that was without true and meaningful feelings written from the heart and spirit. *HeartBroken*

Loved this part:

"Your empty promises
Lame excuses
Painful lies
Hollow words"

These are strong lines that give the reader an understanding of her character, and her coldness. *Tempcold*

Parting Thoughts:

This was a lovely free verse poem that really shows depth of feelings and love for another who doesn't return those feelings.

Conclusion:

Good job! *BowV*

I cam across your item on the Public Review page. *Smile*

Initial Thoughts:

By the title and brief description, I figured there would be a comedy of typo error in the annual Christmas letter sent to relatives. I just had to find out what the misspelled word would be. *Ha*

Further Thoughts:

I liked the dialogue between husband and wife over the email that was sent to Aunt Rosemary. Poor Aunt Rosemary would indeed have a difficult time accepting the word that would be quite offensive to her deeply held beliefs. *Laugh*

Parting Thoughts:

It's no wonder this story has been a winning entry at "The Writer's Cramp

Review! *Angelic*

I felt like a little fun and games time tonight so I chose your Word Search puzzle.

My Thoughts:

The puzzle is about your favorite author, Linda Lael Miller. It's no surprise she writes Romance Novels, since I know you are the romance queen around these parts. *InLove2*

The puzzle had fifteen words to solve, They were very out West types of titles to uncover. Montana is prevalent within this. The words hid well within the large tile. Big sky was the last word I found. I must say I was having much more of a struggle with the last couple words. But I really do love a challenge. *Angelic*

Parting Thoughts:

I enjoyed your subject matter. I haven't read any of her books. However, by the titles used, I have a bit of an interest in exploring some of her books. I'm a big fan of all things Yellowstone, and Montana stories seem to grab my attention. *Laugh*

Conclusion:

Good job!
Thanks for the fun puzzle. *Puzzle1*

I am also reviewing your item because it popped up on the random Read & Review.

Initial Thoughts:

The title is quite a hook. After that, I just wanted to take a further look.

Further Thoughts:

Yes, I could actual see flashes of some TV shows pass through my mind as I each stanza. The body bag, the forensics, indeed many crime shows delight the audience with a mystery to solve and an actor who may not survive the end of the show. *TV*

Of course what's TV without all the reality thrown at us. *Laugh* Yes, dancing and singing, surviving and dating their way onto our screen. *Mic*

Parting Thoughts:

Your poem's rhyme was very at ease. No struggle noticed making each rhyming word fit smoothly into the line. I didn't see any forced words that sacrifice quality in the name of rhyming. *Gear*

Conclusion:

Good rhythm and rhyme. Great subject matter we can identify with such entertainment on our TVs. Lots of imagery gleaned through the lines, too! Entering our living rooms, the art of entertainment.

Well done! *Film2*

Initial Thoughts:

I came across this fun Word Search of yours while perusing the "Browse By Type" over on the left side of the page. Word Searches have been a bit of a leisure play time to relax the busy brain. *Brain2*

Further Thoughts:

I have to say that I really enjoyed an all words Brazil puzzle. Amazon jumped right out at me. It was fairly quick finding words for the most part. A couple gave me pause and I had to search over already discovered words hiding another word within. I like having a bit of a search to do. Twenty words is a good size, too. *Puzzle4*

Parting Thoughts:

Okay, I thought I was going to have to throw the towel in on the last word to uncover. "Ges." Yes, it's true. In most of these puzzles the shortest word is the most difficult to find. *Crazy*

Conclusion:

This was fun Word Search and had me going for quite awhile! *Puzzle1*

Good job! *BurstB*

My Thoughts & Impressions:

I decided to take a little brain teasing break today and hit the Crossowrd puzzle page. I saw this Thanksgiving one you have and figured I wouldn't have to hurt my brain too much deciphering that holiday. *Laugh*

Further Thoughts:

It was a good size puzzle of medium brain fuel power if one didn't know about the hard shelled fruit. *Laugh* The puzzle was fun and filled my mind with all things Thanksgiving.

Parting Thoughts:

I'm happy I took this little break and decided to exercise my brain a little more than with just Word Searches. But I think that was enough sweating for one day. Now, back to this present holiday. Happy Independence Day! *Fireworks4*

I'm reviewing your item because I saw over on the right of the page under "Online Authors." I found the title and brief description to be a fine hook to make me look! *EyesLeft*

My Thoughts:

This was well-written story in the very restrictive 100 word limit. I loved the imagery that popped into my mind as I read about the suspected arsonist. I know, always blame the witch. *Rolling*

Observation:

"People in the town’s people had suspicions" The repetition of "people" just seems to throw a double-take view for my eyes. I had to be sure I saw it twice. So, I suggest replacing the second "people" with community.

Parting Thoughts:

I haven't seen 100 word contest entries in a long time. Is there still one up and going on the site? Perhaps this wasn't for a specific contest. If so, you have written a concise, no frills story that a reader can picture. It's a great talent to have. *Bigsmile*

I decided to try my hand at a quiz on spring flowers. *FlowerY*

My Thoughts:

This was quite interesting as there were a couple unexpected flowers that matched up with their scent description or relation to love, stress relief, and spirituality.

For the most part it was easy going. I recognized the flower and its meaning. However, this one was the sticky one: "Celebrated by the ancient Celts, this flower was a symbol of love." I hate to admit it, but I got this one wrong. I chose "primrose" rather than "apple blossom." *Sob* So, I got one wrong on the quiz. Of course it was the whole "Celtic" thing that threw me off. Apple blossoms have been considered a symbol of love in America. At least it was in my mother's day Her wedding band had carved apple blossoms on it. But then I thought maybe Celtic is "primrose." WRONG! *Cry*

Parting Thoughts:

This was a good quiz to exercise the brain. I usually stay away from pop quizzes because it reminds me of school and the nuns. *Laugh* You got me on that one incorrect flower. I will have to return again to some crosswords when I'm in the mood to drive myself to distraction! *Rolling*

Conclusion:

Well done! *Rose*

I came across this amusing poem while searching through the Comedy Genre.

First Thoughts:

Your title pulled me in to reading your poem. Why, You may ask? Because in an odd way the whole dish washing bit aligns with my upcoming Comedy Newsletter. *Ha*

Further Thoughts:

The poem itself has good rhythm and rhyme. It does a fine expose on dirty dishes too! How about those lazy dishes not washing themselves? Yeah, I know all about the sink full of dishes after company leaves and I've been cooking all day using up multiple pots and pans.

Observation:

A little typo, I believe? "I wish they would bath (e)and put themselves away"

Parting Thoughts:

Since there's a correlation with this poem to my Comedy Newsletter, I will be adding it to this week's Editors Picks. *Bigsmile*

Further Thoughts:

I enjoyed the Wonderland clues. I could picture the characters in my mind. Your Introduction was picture perfect and tea party festive. Great image! It really drew my attention to the theme of the puzzle.

First Thoughts:

I came across this humorous little item while searching the Comedy Genre page. Your brief description caught my attention.

Further Thoughts:

I was amused at the way you wove songs and movies and soap operas together to tell a story of betrayal and forgiveness.

Not just that, I really enjoyed visiting some of those soaps from the past. As it happens, I am binge watching Dark Shadows now that it's available on my TV apps. *Vamp*

Observation:

"I knew something was wrong when he [the] calls became less and less frequent."

Parting Thoughts:

There is another reason I'm reviewing this story. I will be highlighting it in the upcoming WDC Comedy Newsletter, due out on 7/5. For some reason it seems to fit the theme of my newsletter in a strange but soapy way! *Laugh*

The level is not too difficult, thus having more holiday spirited folks enjoying the relaxation of celebrating the holiday any day of the year. *BulbG*

You invited me back to your port to try my hand at more of your Word Searches.😁

I am delighted to have come across this one.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. In my home at least, it's not a forgotten holiday.

Your Word search had 20 words to uncover. They all related to that holiday. It was a fine assortment.

I try to find smaller words ASAP because they can get lost easier. 😂
I actually started this review on my laptop , and right in the middle my power went out, so this review isn't too pretty. I hate typing longer stuff on a phone's keyboard.

What I loved?

I loved the images in my mind of Thanksgiving. 🦃 There are so many memories it invoked just uncovering the words.

Conclusion:

Well-themed puzzle that brings on nostalgic feelings.

Good job!

I ran across this Word Search on "Browse By Type" option. I also hit "Completely Random" so I could find a different mix of searches that may not be recent ones, which I've been playing a lot of lately. *Puzzle1*

First Impression:

Your title captured my attention. No way would I turn down Candies of Yesteryear! I knew I'd be going back to my childhood. *Candy2*

Further Thoughts:

I love that there were 25 words to solve. It's a good size puzzle. But mostly, when your talking about old time candies it becomes personal. Players who have experienced these candies in their youth will be reminiscing those times of long ago. There were still penny candy variety stores when I was a youngster. The bag of candy you could get with a nickel would be amazing to see these days. *Candy7*

The last word I solved was "lemon drops" and I used to love those! The tile is only so big, so the many other penny candy we had back then couldn't fit on it. Besides, I guess you could do "Candies, the Sequel" if you so wished. I remember there was also the root beer flavored hard candy, some taffy and so many more. My mind was reaching back to my childhood picturing them. *Gears*

Parting Thoughts:

This had to be one of the best Word Searches I've played. It got me back to my childhood for a brief time. So much imagery woven within the words. *Candy1*

Conclusion:

Excellent Word Search! *Candy8*

Until next time, Puzzle on! *Puzzle4*

I saw this poem posted in your notebook while stopping by to with you a very Happy Birthday. *Cake*

First Impression:

It's a beautiful title letting the reader know that past love can and does hold a place in one's heart many years later.

Further Thoughts:

The poetry form is a Redondilla, which is described as :ABAB / 8 syllable scheme. You've done this beautifully. I enjoyed reading each lyrical-like line, as the memories unfolded. She was a sweet love in one's life many years ago. Gone away now, but definitely not forgotten. *Cupidheart*

Parting Thoughts:

It's no surprise this poem won First Place in the Heartthrob contest. It's a beautifully penned poem about sweet memories of a past love that flashed back into one's mind on the ride on an old road home.*Quill*

Excellent poem, Monty! *HeartP*

First Thoughts:

I was fortunate enough to find your Word Search puzzle about Stephen King. I was in a mood to sink my teeth into the horror master's world of books. *Clown*

Further Thoughts:

*Wolf* This is a good size puzzle. twenty five words to sink my teeth into. Which reminds me, the first word I found was "Cujo." Talk about sinking teeth into something! *Laugh*

The puzzle kept me going for a good while. I love the joy of searching out the last few words and working my way over the already solved words to find those hidden within. *Puzzle3*

Parting Thoughts:

I found this to be a fun and satisfying word search. It wasn't too easy. And even the hard to find words didn't throw me off my game because there were so many Stephen King stories flashing through my mind while solving it. (Or IT) *Rolling*

Conclusion:

Fun puzzle with added imagery to focus on while solving. I could suggest putting a freaky clown image above the puzzle to get players creeped-out from the start! Or at least huge canine fangs! But that aside, I'm here for the game and not the fancy wrappings. I found this to be A+. (5 *Star*s

I found your item on the "Browse By Type" page looking for Word Searches.

First Thoughts:

The title caught my attention. Tupperware parties from years ago popped into my mind. I remember my mother going to them and coming home with those handy storage containers.

Further Thoughts:

The WS consisted of 25 words to solve. That's a pretty good amount of words to uncover. However, I've found that more words is not necessarily a daunting task. I actually enjoy solving larger puzzles.

What I've learned on the way to playing many of these searches, lately, is that usually, the longer the words, the easier to find. There's only so much space, and they take up lots of it on the tile. *Puzzle2*

I've also learned that smaller words can hide easier within already solved/shaded words. Thus, the last word I found was "fun." Well that was fun! *Ha*

Parting Thoughts:

I really enjoyed my virtual visit to a Tupperware party. The words gave me images of my mother's experience with them. I think I may even have one or two Tupperware containers from my mother that go back many decades. *Blueberries*

Conclusion:

Great job! *Broccoli*

Further Thoughts:

17 words to search. A fairly usual size. Some are smaller, some larger in the Word Search world. This one suited me well today since I'm about to go out soon. It gave me a good search, it was fun and it took me back to the Game of Thrones series to reminisce for a brief time. *CastleB*

Parting Thoughts:

I really enjoy solving these puzzles since seeing them all over the review pages during April's "Game of Thrones month. There's a good balance of longer and shorter words as well as one or two hidden within them.

I was in the mood for brain teasing, and have found these word search puzzles to fit the bill.

First Thoughts:

Great title. Love Game of Thrones, stuff. Revisiting the show through these puzzles brings vivid images to my mind. This particular puzzle celebrates the Dragons over the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. *CastleGr*

Further Thoughts:

The Word Search consisted of 17 words. Not too long, not too short. Just right for a brief break from chores. *Pthb*

Observation:

Hey, I'm only here for the game. It I enjoyed the puzzle, I give it a fiver. So, this is for your own consideration, above the puzzle, the introduction...
"know of things that breath fire?" (breathe)

As I said, you may want to correct that little blip. Believe me, I know how the "Game of Thrones exhausts us. Keeps us running in circles, puts our brains on autopilot ... *Crazy*

I had fun solving the Word Search. I will be searching for more!

On my pursuit to Word Search happiness, I found your item. I was in the mood to go back out westward for a while, so I chose this one.

My Thoughts:

Yes, South Dakota sounds like a wonderful place to live. I did live in neighboring Wyoming. I loved it there. Winter weather aside, there is so much natural beauty. I've been there briefly leaving Wyoming and heading back to New England. I had hoped to see Mount Rushmore. Unfortunately, the July timing was bad as the whole city was full, no rooms for at least three hours down the road. *Sob*

Further Thoughts:

This was a good size Word Search with 25 words to solve. I went after the shorter words, since they seem to get lost deep in a mostly solved puzzle. It worked out fine. I did stumble across some longer ones. I guess they can't hide easily. *Laugh*

Parting Thoughts:

I've enjoyed working on this Word Search. I loved the feeling of "tourism" I felt with the chosen words. SD is a fascinating place. And your governor makes great commercials advertising the job opportunities there. *Plug*

Conclusion:

Good job! *BoxCheckB*

Until next time--write on!

Review! *Angelic*

I am also reviewing your item because I saw it advertised on the Newsfeed. *Smile*

First Impression:

Loved the title, "Daddy." I thought it was the perfect thing to read on Fathers' Day.

Further Thoughts:

This poem, and I'm not familiar with the form, but it wove itself together in such a smooth fashion. I think it really worked out well for the Daddy theme. I love how the poem describes the strength and protective love a father gives.

It's a beautiful tribute to a Dad. It shows the thankfulness of his raising a family, the feeling of being shielded from harm. It is a warm and loving poem That brought a bit of mist to my eyes. My father has been gone for many years. I think of how much he has missed meeting only one of his grandchildren before his death. He loved her so unconditionally. 8 more grandchildren were born after he was gone.

It's days like Fathers' Day that bring us so many memories of our youth with Dad.

Parting Thoughts:

"Mighty as a towering oak, roots deep, strong.
Warmth fills our comfortable, ordered home."

These lines demonstrate strength and warmth and comfort in a home where the father is loved and respected. Also, the family under his care are indeed loved and respected. It is how a family thrives.

Conclusion:

Beautiful, heartwarming poem. *Heart**Heart*

Happy Fathers' Day!

Until next time, Write on!

I am reviewing your item because I've been having fun solving Word Search Puzzles, lately. I find them a relaxing change of pace. I'm also getting faster and faster at solving them. *Bigsmile*

The Tile Setup:

It was a medium length puzzle with sixteen words to uncover. It highlights words for a place I love to relax at ...the beach! *Wave1*

Further Thoughts:

The crossover words are always fun, as well as shorter words which know how to hide, for some reason. *Geek* The first word I solved was "Dolphin" I guess it sort of jumped out at me. *Dolphin*

Parting Thoughts:

I really enjoyed finding beach related words. I must admit, I have never spotted a mermaid whenever I was on the beach. But I have seen dolphins. *Ha*

I could suggest adding a beach scene photo or image above the puzzle to add to the ambiance of surf and sails and sand and whales. Okay, I got a little out of hand there. Also, adding more words to make players work up a sweat. But that's not my job since I'm here for the fun and not to review a contest entry. *Angelic*

Conclusion:

Thanks for the fun at the beach! *Beach*

Until next time--puzzle on!

I bumped into this fun little item while searching for Word Searches. That's been one of my obsessions lately. It's a fun break from regular chores and to exercise the brain in a different way. *Bigsmile*

What I loved:

I love mysteries, so this drew me right in. My mind went to "Clue." I guess that's Colonel Mustard's fault! *Laugh*

Things like ... "WhereWereYou" caught my attention. In fact, it was the first solve of the puzzle. I laughed when I saw "Butler." The Butler did it? *Thought*

Parting Thoughts:

I must say that this was one of my favorite Word Searches. It had some of my most favorite things. Plenty of crime and mystery to sink my teeth into.

Difficulty:

The puzzle makes you take a double look for cross-over words. But I've gotten pretty good at finding those. *Wink* Short words I find can be harder to discover than longer words. They can hide better. *Puzzle2*

The last word found? "Maid." It must be because I should have been cleaning up the kitchen after dinner rather than getting involved with another word search. *Giraffe*

Conclusion:

Good job! *Busy*

Until next time--write on!
