Review of Beautiful Child  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (4.5)
First, I'd like to get the business out of the way...the only "mistake" I saw was the spelling of compassion. Other than that, the depth of this poem is spectacular. The first and last stanza leaves an impression on me and takes me to a whole new level. Playing in the sand/hair gleaming gold from the/fading sun. You have the youth...the playfulness. Then you show her hair gleaming gold...I think of this image and I see growth..an expanding of the mind. And the fading sun...WOW! I see that she is becoming a teenager and it's NEVER going to be the same. I guess I see this image because I, myself, miss the rose colored glasses that were pulled off my face at puberty. I got them back for a while...and then the mack truck of life knocked them off once and for all. this poem is well written and the depth of your message is enlightening. Thank you for sharing this moment of seeing your daughter change. Weeowl

YES! Someone FINALLY asked this question! I am a female, bi, and my experiences with women have not given me oral and men will do it a few times, but not as often as I go down on them. And I accept this??? Nothing is wrong down there...why don't they go down is the bigger question here. Too much to think about :P mmmm tongue. Weeowl

Great job sweetpea! I like this poem and I LOVE the title! moonlight flower...that's very original! Your use of adjectives is right on. You're highly intelligent and it shows through your writing. Keep up the good work. I look forward to reading more of your work! Weeowl

Great question. What I like about these polls is the wonderful topics that are brought up for discussion. I actually prefer spermicides because I'm sensitive to the condom, but condoms are a lot cleaner. In a time when I'm trying to live my dream, having a child now would be difficult for me. Thanks for making me think ;) Weeowl

Great question! I have my writing cave set up at home. In the cave there is a unicorn, my muse, owls, my favorite poem, and all sorts of trinkets that represent inspiration and happy thoughts to me. There is no clock in that room because when I'm writing, time stops. I do also write at the office, but I prefer my writing cave! Weeowl

Review of Recycle Life  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (5.0)
What a great topic to bring up! I became a registered organ donor when I renewed my liscense last year. I was hesitant like all the options you put up there...I had my fears and such. Then, my Aunt had a cist burst in her head after 54 years or so. She saved my life once by getting me to the hospital when I was in anaphalactic shock. At her bedside, when it was just us two, I held her hand and said, "Thank you for saving my life. I'm so sorry I couldn't save yours." At that moment, my hand got hot and this heat, this warmth traveled through me and when it was released it was cold. My aunt died through me. They kept her on life support and she saved 50+ lives after her death. It exhibits one final act of giving. This is a good question! Weeowl

Review of Deserted Island  Open in new Window.
Rated: ASR | (5.0)
I like this question. At face value, it may seem like "who do you want to spend time with?" On a deeper level it comes down to who you trust, who you wouldn't mind spending everyday with, who you can be vulnerable in front of, and who will provide comfort in a situation of isolation. And even on a whole nother ;) level, A deserted Island means isolation...and you can bring someone so even on a deserted island you can never alone. It reminds me of the quote that a chief said, "No man is an island..." I think it was Chief Joseph. :P Too tired to think yet i may have overthought your question :D LOL Naptime! Weeowl

Good question! These were all great selections. I love Where the Red fern Grows because it talks of animals and their love for each other. Oh, heartwrenching! That was a well written novel and screenplay. I also love old yeller. Good selection, good question! Weeowl

What I like about the quiz is that you linked it to your story so I was able to read your story first and then answer the quiz. This is smart! Great job! Weeowl

This is great! I enjoyed this! There was one word that stuck out to me as maybe off...screaked...perhaps creeked or screeched to exact the sound that you're looking for. Now I can take your quiz with confidence! Thanks for sharing this spooky bunny story! Weeowl

Okay, I took this quiz and did fairly well...but I was confused. Was there something to read before I took the quiz or was it just pick and choose? Also, the third question didn't make sense to me. I'd go ahead and suggest a little revision. Was this your first attempt at a quiz? Weeowl

Think of all the fantasies of the librarian who takes her hair down and shakes her head, takes off her glasses. Or the secretary. Or even lawyers or female doctors. The list goes on and on. I think women can be moderate and seductive...seducing is an action..you just have to know the right actions to set the passions flaring! Weeowl

This is an interesting question. It kinda freaked me out a bit. I feel beauty comes from within and expands out. Surviving an attack with a knife like that already shows strength. It would be difficult to deal with the emotional scar though and looking at the physical scar would be a constant reminder of something ugly. Weeowl

Review of Regrets  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (5.0)
Wow! Fabulous poem! I like how you used the "don't" throughout. This allowed the one regret you had become positive! :D That is clever! I enjoyed reading this and I think you have great talent. I must admit that I was worried your love passed. I was happy that your love didn't :) Thanks for giving me a happy ending with truly no regrets! Weeowl

I love this question because it took me to one of my favorite times of life when things were simple and cartoons were plenty! I love tweety and sylvester. When I was little, I had these yellow footed pajamas that I wore all the time and we had a swingset with one of those attachments that you hang on...I was so little that i would swing from that and my Uncle said that I looked like tweety bird! :D Oh the good ole days! Thanks for the memories! Weeowl

"Stand in the place where you live!" I must admit a DOH here. I put south america. What I really should've put is US! LOL I missed snack time so I'm a little off! Where am I? That's funny! Is there any way to correct that? I guess I just did by telling you :) Obviously I think this is a great question and now I know where I live! LOL Weeowl

Review of Eye  Open in new Window.

Wow! What an amazing poem! This has mystery, and an intensity, a "rushing." I thought of a tornado. It is a tornado of emotions and such pain and destruction. I'm thoroughly impressed and I'm so glad that you shared this poem with me. I'll be thinking about the eye for a long time to come. Great job! Weeowl

This is a great question. I was a little intimidated on answering it, but decided, what the heck? So many times during the presidency of the one I chose I've cringed in fear. I cringe everytime a news conference was/is called. What has he done now? I think. Weeowl

I like the creativity behind this question. I chose Superman...I guess I want a hero in office...a man of steel that would fight for this country and all the innocents in it. Do you think there would be enough telephone booths for him to change? Maybe they could add one in the white house ;D Thanks for letting me dream! Weeowl

Great question! I typically review everything. I recently came across one that just had random letters typed...as if a child was writing or if someone was testing to see who reviewed and what they would say to something like that. I was strongly disappointed because the title and the concept was something I wanted to read. I wrote this person and told them so. Then I came across another similar one but this time with like 3 or 4 sentences. I reviewed that one too. But if it is really bad, I don't read enough for a review. Thanks for asking! Weeowl

It was really cool! My chosen words worked out! the ladybugs worked with the zoologist. In the first adventure job :) LOL I chose the job of a Writer's assistant. I went to buy a single pen LOL because the more we had the more we looked productive. I was terrified when NOBODY SOLD PENS ANYMORE! *faints* LOL Using a special glue made out of Clairol and Wendy's Milkshakes FDLMAO! If you didn't do it right the brooms shrinked! Oh my! Not that! Anything but that! No telling how many wheelbarrels (is that right) I repaired :P how uniquely entertaining! Thanks for making me laugh...and scare me out of my wits with the whole PEN thing! Weeowl

Color me impressed and touched! I am thoroughly awed by this piece. What really impacted me was the statistics. Statistics that I can see to be true. Perhaps they were wondering if they could come without shield and they are seeing they can't. I can't believe I've come up with this much because I feel stunned and speechless. WRITE ON! Weeowl

Review of Taboo  Open in new Window.

This is amazing! Great work! I did feel that sense of taboo...but it was still innocent. In the end he realized that he shouldn't. I don't know...your writing is so incredible. How long have you been writing for? I really enjoy reading the words your write because you make me feel something! Weeowl

Wow! This is a great piece and I felt the confusion and turmoil of this person. It hurt to hear those words coming from a Mom he loved so much. It was a reminder of the harsh words my own parents spewed to me...things they think won't matter, but then they sting like open wounds with alcohol being poured on it. the wound that will not heal...until time passes and we find out who we are. I like how you left us where you did...still trapped in that confusion but hinting at what he was thinking about. Kudos! weeowl

This is a good question. I still have the fear about online friends, however, my best friend and her man she found online are getting married! He's a great guy and is safe. The answer is to listen to your instinct. Sometimes the mystery of online makes it more appealing. It is a big world out there and the internet is part of that world now. Kudos! weeowl
