Life isn't an easy road. We might find ourselves on the wrong path. We depend on ourselves to lead us back. Instead we find we are more and more lost in the darkness. We need to find the light and the way to do that is to turn to God. Take hold of the faith inside you. It might be hidden behind dark images but you can still find it. Once the light of God is inside you He will never leave you. You need to call on Him. Lay your burdens down to Him and surrender your prideful attitude.

It is easy to understand if a person hesitates about a relationship. Especially if they have been hurt before. As our character wrestles with this in her mind; she is tempted but not foolish. She has had to learn to protect her heart and not give it away so quickly. She doesn't make her feelings known simply to avoid going down the save vulnerable path as before. At this time it appears the other person isn't getting any clues yet. Perhaps more time is needed on her part. Maybe getting to know this other person better is the way to go.

Here we have a beautiful dog with a personality that gets on her owners nerves. I bet with all her irritations she is a really good huntress.
I remember where I use to live that coonhounds are common but a bluetick is rare. Look at those great big brown eyes. She is laying there looking so innocent but I bet when it comes hunting time she is number one.

Now, this was an adventure in the making. Unfortunately our character didn't realize it until on the way to the new home. Cats are independent creatures and don't like to be in water or a moving object. Well, considering they were moving on the freeway and angry little snots; I am surprised our character survived the ordeal. Just try to imagine all those cats moving about while the car was moving. I think I would have needed to be hospitalized afterward. Apparently they are safe and sound in the back room of the new house. Pray for our character when the door to that room is opened for the first time. Will they be snots or purry little snuggle bugs? Your guess is as good as mine.

Good job with this

This is so cute. A little boy pretends to be a cowboy all day long. He uses his rocking horse to get him around. Round up the cattle and depending on his mom for chuck wagon meal. Wieners makes him happy cause it's been a long hard day on the trail.
I use to have two cowboys myself. Brings back good memories. Thank you.

In this piece we find a person taking responsibility for saying something hurtful to someone earlier in the day. It is a good sign of character to say your sorry when you know it was you in the wrong. Owning up to what you did is something we are taught when children but once we become an adult; we sometimes let pride stand in the way.

It's Halloween and the bumps in the night are real. Here we have a little ghost who seems to really like being a scary dude. Floating here and there with evil thoughts in the air.

Special moments like this, is what we remember when our kids grow and move on. A little boy sees a rainbow and naturally calls for his mom to come and see it too. Sharing that beautiful sight is a together moment.

I like this piece because I like rainbows and the feelings of peace one gets from them. All the colors and the fact that it seems to just hang in midair by invisible stings. They are indeed a blessing to those looking on.

The streets feel empty, yet are full of strangers. The city is merely an unfriendly environment to exist in. Our character has something to help keep going back at the hotel room. To find a sad surprise and shock; that someone is gone. Leaving just a note behind. What can be done now but remember and wish. To share a moment together again. To make the pain go away as well as the world. Tonight will be the most difficult night to get through. The dawn will hold no promise either.

This is a piece about an emergency surgery. The mother and baby are at risk. The doctors use all their skills and bring it to a good conclusion. I believe the point of this piece is to remind us that Doctors and hospital staff are people too. They all have families and become frightened for them and need to give them comfort. If they seem detached to a patient it is merely to keep a clear head to do what needs to be done to save a life.

Our author brings us a really outlandish piece about how our politicians carry out their business. The president took an aspirin and it becomes news. All the different news stations carry the mind boggling information. The sad part is that this is so typical of how nothing substantial gets done in Washington. Dwelling on something, wasting countless hours of time, making a mockery of our leaders and representatives simply by their actions.
This is an excellent, be it a bit extreme, look at what is news worthy. The world literally is falling apart around us and we place importance on an aspirin. Will there be a senate hearing to look forward to?

Well, just reading this made me tired. I remember having so much on my plate and having to keep up with everything. Some days it seems like there just isn't enough hours or enough energy to make it. Everybody needs something but the only one who gets no attention is yourself. Basically, one must put our needs on
hold or on the bottom of the list of importance for now and years to come. Sometimes it's like meeting yourself coming up and down the same staircase at the same time.

It started as a shopping trip, with not much going on. Before long the temptation of listening in takes hold. Our gentleman finds the conversation quite amusing. Now, I must admit this is a doozy. You got me good. Laughing out loud in a house all alone(except my dog) might warrant investigation.

Congrats to a great piece.
Even Frost would forget the promises to keep and the miles before he sleeps.

We have two men and a bottle of wine. One seems to think the other has had a bit too much. The conversation moves to objects and how they want to be free and not slaves of man. Their discussion runs from ice cubes to sock etc. Granted I wouldn't want to be on some sticky feet or kept in a pocket or purse like keys. One must wonder, how they opened the wine? Was the corkscrew present or did it run away?
Interesting piece.

Our author reminds us how life runs full circle.
We start out as children and when we become aged we are regarded and treated like children again. The difference, in my opinion, is the aged adult is sometimes considered a bother. The child, on the other hand, is certain to grow out of his childish ways and be productive and self sufficient.

She is alone in the car as it moves along. The music is playing on the radio. She is tapping her feet. She doesn't know she is being watched from the back floorboard of the car. Hidden well and eagerly awaiting the right time to strike her. She can't see but it can. Thinking how lovely her legs are. Soon it makes it's move.

Will she make it to her destination?
Will her stalker over power her and inflicted harm?
Creepy just thinking how easily this could happen.

He is worried about her and the baby. She is acting strange and won't listen to him. The environment wasn't good for her breathing. He was having problems himself but he was having to break down a wall as she requested. The wall had a hidden wall, crudely constructed. She demanded he break it down to see what was there.
Things went from bad to horrible as a secret is revealed.

The story comes together well.
The interaction between characters is good.
The ending caught me by surprise.

Well, here we have a new take on Mother Goose Land and its residents. Birthdays come and go but this one warranted quite a show. They gathered secretly so many well wishers. So much cooperation to go off without a hitch. No one counted on how the birthday girl would respond.

This is clever with a lot of imagination.
The ending came as a complete surprise.

Our author brings us a piece about tiger's eyes. When looking at a tiger look deep within their eyes. They in turn are looking deeply within yours. She is just taking care of her babies as we do. She is beautiful inside and out as we are when we remember God's teaching. The tiger is a creature worthy of respect and consideration. After all, if you are close enough to be in their territory; who is the intruder?

I like this part:
She isn't a predator like I thought, just a creature of the wild-
searching for peace and comfort like you and me-
for she, too is like a lost and frightened child.

A new mom and dad are so happy. They finally have their baby. It had been so long waiting but the wait is over now. The dad leaves the mom and baby alone for the night. Things don't go well. He receives a call in the middle of the night about his wife.
Together the dad and baby will have to go on alone.
The future is up in the air considering the evil surrounding the birth.

This piece is reassuring that love can last. Sure the new love or young love is full of magic and excitement but what is the glue holding it together. Those that have found the secret to everlasting love have built that love on a strong foundation. Strong enough to hold through any storm of problems that might surface. There might have been occasional fights but they won't really break any barrier they have built. Think of them in a castle with protective attitude as mortar. Be assured that they will not take each or granted but will cherish every day they have together and beyond.

A woman caught our characters eye. Comparing her to the wind. She is spontaneous and free and can go where she pleases.

"Shelly compared her to the sister of Spring"

So true. A woman is most beautiful when she can be herself and let freedom guide her.
Our character knows that she won't stay long but for now, right now, she is staying near. Why? There is no answer. How long? There is no answer. So enjoy her company and her vibrancy for as long as she sees fit. Who knows, she might just return to stay.

Our author uses a car to illustrate her on the road of life. There are bumps and the path is uncertain. She still goes on as the storms of life hit here and there. She isn't swayed by the uncertainty but thrives on it. Waiting to find out what is around the bend. She is unique and one of a kind. As the years go by she becomes more polished and more beautiful in His eyes; a jewel if you will. Sure she sees other travelers but this is her life and her ultimate destination is her heavenly goal.

Walking alone. The path took her to the waters edge. There she found a magical tapestry of God's creation. The water mixed with the sunlight casts such alluring images. Even an occasional tiny rainbow. Now, how could a person feel lonely after all these blessing where cast their way?
