Some people feel that holding the tears inside is the way to go. Our author reminds us that crying is helpful. If you are touched emotionally by something that needs tears; let them flow. After all we are only human and not stone. Sometimes they might be happy tears or tears of grief. Still yet, it shows you are more than an empty shell.

Thank you for sharing.

Here we have a man in love. He doesn't hesitate to make that love known. This is touching and sweet. We all want someone to love us and to find the right person is hard sometimes. We might have some relationships that don't work but then 'that one' that special one will come along and push all those lonely negative feelings away.

Best part;
The love in our eyes when we see each other, it envelops us,
No longer two, but one; about it, there’s nothing to discuss.

This piece is about getting old. Well, our character refuses to do that. He apparently will fight it the bitter end. Sounds like he is full of vim and vigor right now and will to take on anyone that chooses to say otherwise. Got a lot of spunk too. Just let him be and do his thing and mind your own business. When and if he decides he needs to be reminded of anything; no doubt he will let them know. Stay clear cause he sounds like becoming a different age doesn't mean he can't still whip some b-tt.

Thanks for sharing this lighthearted piece this beautiful evening.

A man is alone is pondering why. There have been relationships that didn't end well. He seems to feel the need to construct an invisible wall to protect his heart from another go round. Who could blame him? Haven't we all been down that same road at least once or twice? Throwing our hearts into the relationship and investing time and energy to make it work but eventually it falls apart. This is an honest piece. A thought filled piece. Give it a read or two. Most of all don't be too hard on yourself. Love is a gamble and the winners are few.

An elderly man walks along the sea. While walking he remembers the laughter from another time. The waves seem the same but time has changed. He picks up a small shell and notices how it has changed over time. Even though it no longer is used as a habitat for a little sea creature doesn't mean it has no use. Just with the elderly man. He may not be as agile as when younger; it doesn't mean he still can't find a purpose. Throwing the shell in the ocean gives the shell a chance at a new and exciting life. As with age comes new adventures for him cause it 'ain't over to the fat lady sings'

There were those that still had doubt about Jesus. He said He would rise on the third day and yet they still were not convinced. A humble woman brought the news of the rock being moved. It is faith that guides us that love Him. It is faith that helps us understand He has a place for us to be with him. He is always beside His children to love and guide them down the path to Home.
Thank you for sharing this on this blessed day.

Our author explains how election time is a big mess. No one really gives a flying flip about the issues. Actually we, as citizen, would like to see someone really jump in there and address what is wrong and give an intelligent way to solve it. But no. That's not on the agenda. You know in a way this reminds me of a farmer bringing apples and oranges to market. While traveling down the road the containers start to fall inward towards each other. When he arrives what does he have? The same fruit but each and every one of them is in the same mess.
So when we put all our leaders together in a room; what do they do? Argue, casting allegations at each other, deflating their images and soon they all fall down because they can't agreed on anything anytime anywhere.
Apples and oranges could probably do a better job. At least they are good for us, unlike our empty headed leaders.

He is troubled. The nightmares continue. His girlfriend had apparently taken her own life. He was full of remorse. Hearing she was at the morgue seemed final but yet real. Was this a dream or was he simply remembering what he had done to her. As he explains to the reader where he is; we begin to wonder what really happened and who did what to who.

The author reminds us that everyone gets down from time to time. There is nothing wrong with crying. It doesn't mean you are weak. It simply is a way of letting go of some of the built up sadness or emotions that have been waiting to exit for a while. Sure we can wear a smile and we are really good actors and actresses in the outside world. When we are alone, in our sanctuary of home, we can be and feel what we want. So cry if need be. The main point of this piece is to tell us not to give up. After the tears, just like rain, there might be something positive wrapped in a rainbow.

Our author reminds us how important friends can be. Finding someone to listen or help with a problems is appreciated. You must be the same way in turn. The friends don't have constantly be around each other; that's not really what counts. It's the fact that when we call them they are there to offer their friendship. From time to time things might not go right but don't let that spoil everything. Everyone makes mistakes. no one is perfect but having a friend is as close to perfect as can be.

Sometimes we need to have a personal conversation with our Lord. Here we have a man giving thanks for the light given to him, the strength, the guidance, the comfort, he has no need for fear with Him near and how he is protected.

This is pretty and full of faith.
Reassuring and offers strength to those who might be temporarily lost.

A young boy finds himself in a darkened room. Outside the window something frightens him. Is it real or just shadow and light? Could the wind have caused any motion? He is certain of what he saw and to this day is still caught in that room alone and frightened in his memory.

Your descriptions were well done.

Giving us an seemingly ordinary curious little boy being where he shouldn't have been at first.

Then we find we are caught with the boy viewing something that was evil and unexpected.

There is no answer for what was seen and without an explanation; the reader can certainly understand why the child is still bothered even in adulthood.

I remember those times and shows. Some dealt with justice. Some dealt with family matters. Some dealt with doctors who seemed to really care about their patients. Cowboys who fought for country justice. Funny shows. No blood and guts. No bad words for children to hear. Family shows that showed respect for parents but took time to listen to the kids. Adventure and exposure to parts of our country. The writers had to think and create. They had to be mindful of children watching. It indeed was a different time and mindset back then.

This is really pretty. I love weeping willows anyway. The author brings us through all the seasons and allows our willow to have a voice to express emotions. Mentioning peace and swaying in the breeze. How it adapts to the storms and elegance of nature.
Best part;

Life's cycles mark the march of time,
in tears marked in the willow vine;
her path to God the same as mine,
a weeping willow tree.

Isn't that lovely?
Thank you for sharing a glimpse of nature with the reader this beautiful day.

Our author speaks of a rose. A special rose and one that simply waits for hearts to see it. The Rose of Sharon. Jesus waits for those to seek Him and ask to come into their lives. Our author stresses the fact that, many will go about using their whits to survive when all they need to do is turn over their lives to Him. He will provide but He must be seen with their hearts. He is the way and with faith in Him, good things will come to you. He came here to take away our sin and give us an eternal life. Sadly, some just can't see Him waiting there in the middle of nothing to distract the view and yet The Rose can't be seen. Their eyes are blinded to Him. There minds are too involved in the flesh to see and accept the Spirit.
Think about it.
Thank you for sharing.

Well, here we have a lady with a broken heart. Apparently the lover found another. She is left with memories and confusion. She is on an emotional roller coaster. She says one thing but deep inside where the hurt and anger reside, she means something else.
Making her feel boring causes pain. She wants the lover back but will there be the same person coming through the door?
She spends her days just getting by; wanting to cry. She can't move on; it's too soon. That is what is bothering her the most. How she could be so easily replaced.

Our character wants to make a wish. It's not one of wealth. It's not one of turning back time. It's not one to change life. It is a wish that so many of us need and want. A simple warm hug. One to make us feel wanted and special. Really such a small wish but could have the power to take the weight of the world off ones shoulder. Thank you for sharing.

Here we have a tribute to an honorable man. He was a father in every way. His wife loved him and his children cherished him. Time took him and now they know he is needed with God. Still they miss him and especially on Father's Day. The tears might fill their eyes. The grief might crash in upon them at times. But faith will comfort them each time they need it.
Thank you for sharing this touching piece.

Our character takes a walk in the mountains. Along the path there is beauty of nature. The Masters hands creating such a remarkable tapestry. Noticing a spruce tree swaying in the breeze; there are words entering our characters heart. 'Be strong and don't follow the evil ones or those of the flesh. Stay on the path I make for you. I will show you the way. If tempted, seek me for I am as close as your heartbeat'.
This is lovely and full of faith.

This piece is about how important a grandparent is to a child. The little boy in this piece remembers special moments together. Those moments made him feel loved and will never forget that. Some of us do remember our grandparents and the special things about them. To someone else a tire swing put up by a grandpa wouldn't mean much but when I was a little girl it meant a lot.
Thank you for this touching piece about lasting love and special memories.

This is a piece that makes a person think. We hurry about doing this and that. We sometimes don't stop long enough to do simple but so important things. A man leaves, with work on his mind. There is an accident and he couldn't give his last goodbye. If he had taken time to wake up his loved ones and gave them I love you before leaving; imagine the time difference. Would those few minutes of love make it possible to not be involved in the accident?
Makes you think doesn't it? Slow down, the work will still be there but you might not. No matter what tell the ones you love how important they are to you.

Here we have a man dealing with an illness. Now, as with any doctor, throw some pills at him to get him out of the office. As the piece suggest, eventually the man will build up a tolerance for the meds and they will stop working.
Then what, another pill. My attitude is 'here a pill, there a pill, everywhere a pill pill.
One would think somewhere among all those well meaning meds there might be some sort of answer. Should we just continue taking all this garbage. Who knows what all those chemicals are doing to our bodies?

This piece starts out funny. A young man is being told by his mom to straighten up and clean up his room. Turn off the music and do something constructive. She is getting madder. He is more or less ignoring her which is making her ever madder. Then the door bell. His friend arrives to save the day.
Then he sadly realizes it is only a dream. His heart must have been lonely when he went to bed. His mom and friend must have been on his mind. Having such a vivid and light spirited dream might have been just what he was looking for to resolve something. Two dear friends, Al and mom, right by his side.

For those of us who have been down this road before, this piece is easy to relate to. When you fall in love, you take a chance. It might turn out wonderful or it might cause horrible pain. Emotions are on a roller coaster as things begin to fall apart. Then, of course there is always one left behind to try and pick up the pieces. As the piece suggest; the pain of love is like that of thorns of a rose. Love is beautiful but carries with it possible pain.
Isn't it worth the gamble though?
