Two hungry kids alone in the wood -
a house made of candy? Let’s eat!
Nibble and gnaw, sweet children,
I will make you a feast!
They turned the tables,
used her oven,
put the witch
inside.
Burn!
I wrote two versions of this poem. One had more rhyme, the other had more impact.
After consultation with my 10 year old neighbor, I went with impact. This is the rhyme:
Two hungry kids alone in the wood -
a house made of candy? Let’s eat!
Nibble and gnaw, sweet children,
I will make you a feast!
The tables were turned,
the witch was burned,
the children
returned
home.
