I'm the lead editor for a small independent press, but I am on maternity leave for the next several years and thus not accepting submissions. I'll tell you my professional opinion on first chapters or short pieces and whether I would have accepted it or rejected it if I was looking for work. I've dealt most with controversial speculative fiction, and I'm most interested in polyamory a.k.a consensual non-monogamy.

This provides a lot of food for thought.

“Whenever women have insisted on absolute equality with men, they have invariably wound up with the dirty end of the stick. What they are and what they can do makes them superior to men, and their proper tactic is to demand special privileges, all the traffic will bear. They should never settle merely for equality. For women, "equality" is a disaster.”

Thank you for sharing these deeply personal thoughts. Writing about these things is a great way to process your feelings and let others who have had similar experiences know they are not alone.

This reminds me of narcissistic abuse. Please get some therapy for this if you haven't already. It's often available for free to those with Medicaid if you have low or no income.

Humans aren't exactly wired for monogamy. Monogamy is more of a cultural development to ensure biological paternity in order to pass on property. This is why women were also treated as property for much of history and still are in some places. Instead of simply releasing women from their bonds, modern society has decided that now men are also property and people in a relationship must "belong" to each other. This cultural construct causes a lot of pain, because it is at odds with our most basic instincts.

“The more you love, the more you can love--and the more intensely you love. Nor is there any limit on how many you can love. If a person had time enough, he could love all of that majority who are decent and just.”
― Robert A. Heinlein

I used my internet browser to translate this to English, so I will not comment on the grammar.

Is this intended as worldbuilding? There's no story to speak of here.

I've read some things on how males are "disposable" to society, and it's quite an interesting perspective. I think that males are innately angry that they were born without the ability to be certain of their paternity without a paternity test, and they take out that anger on females by seeking to control them. We are also easier to control when we are in competition with each other.

Welcome! I stumbled upon your work through the “read a newbie” feature.

This provides a lot of food for thought. University is a decade behind me, yet I still continue to learn new things every day. The single most valuable course I took during my university years was my human development course. Not only did it give me a leg up on parenting, but it saved me from an emergency C-section because the professor screened "The Business of Being Born." There's knowledge, and then there's knowing where to find the knowledge that matters.

If you can find the time, I highly recommend reading "Our Babies, Ourselves: How Biology and Culture Shape the Way We Parent" by Meredith F. Small along with a human development textbook.

It is often said that one must love one's self before one can love others. I recommend reading "The Mastery of Love" by Don Miguel Ruiz.
