Two arms
The world swirls with terror.
Uncertainty is the only certainty.
I want to get off the merry-go-round.
Money isn't plenty.
Food isn't guaranteed.
There's sickness.
There's sorrow.
We fear tomorrow.
Then there are her arms,
a magical protective field.
Nothing matters except her and I.
There is love, joy, peace, if only for a moment,
one perfect moment.
Write a poem about a moment when you felt overwhelmingly joyful.
Try to convey this emotion by depicting the setting, the time, and what prompted this strong feeling of happiness and joy. Was it a personal success? Perhaps a wish you’ve had for years finally came true. Whatever it was, draw from your own life experience.
