| I woke up at 12 am about from Jim and my mom in the computer room. Jim was taking his test for his new health card. With my mom’s help he passed with a 79% with a 70% being the passing grade. Boy I’m glad that is over. Nevertheless, Jim still went to work too. I hit the PS4 in the morning at like 7 am then I turned it off after an hour. I had breakfast and coffee at around 5:30 am I would suppose. Then I went to bed again at around 8:30 am. My new year’s resolution is to write every day – or edit in part for me. I want to reach nine stories by the middle of next month. I’ve started my seventh a few days ago. It is called The Sword of Oberon. I purposely made the outline shorter than I usually do. I am a little out of it from too many games, and my seventh story needs correction. I learned Zero and Akuma’s ground moves. They require you to be in the air. That actually makes it easier. I, Josh, Janna Jim and my mom will be seeing the new Star Wars movie at the Santa Fe here in Vegas. We will meet at 12:45 pm. I’m not that excited. It will be just like the others. I want more Jedi not “The last” Jedi. Kylo Ren will be returning. One thing I am curious is about getting more info on Snoke. It’s going to be interesting, I know it. The movie will be the last hurrah because Josh and Janna will be leaving on the 30th. They will be missed. Chad sent me another negative link about Star Wars. He totally ignores the good reviews. He keeps complaining about homosexual themes. A coworker from Jim’s work said he or she did not notice anything. I guess it’s who you ask. Speaking of work, it was good Jim got both jobs off tomorrow. He’ll be working both jobs on Saturday and Sunday. Let’s see, what else? I called PS phone support earlier and the recording and they were tied up with calls and that the maximum waiting time was under one hour. I want to know how to use my $20 gift card towards a $60 PS Plus membership. I don’t know how to do that. So my mom just ordered SW battlefront 2 but did not pay for it. I was checking out my applications menu and Destiny 2 was there. I thought it meant I could play it. It was for sale. I found it weird that it was there. DB f Z comes out on January 26th and I’m pumped. It will take some time to get used to. It is like MvC2. It is very fast and furious but it looks fun. I can’t wait to see advertisements for it. Lol. | Today has run together. The only notable things I have done mopping, playing PS4 and reading for one-and-a-half hours. Jim was on the computer for over two hours trying to take his Health Card test. His last shot failed by 2%! So close. I texted Ricky asking for a ride to service. He said he was leaving at 5:30 pm. Then I texted him saying that was too early. Then he called me on the phone asking if I was going. I told him I was helping Jim with his test and that I couldn’t go to church. I wish I would have said yes. Darnet! Oh well, I’ll see him Sunday morning. (= I was thinking of just going to the service itself and then have Ricky drive me home. They were all going to go to a house and make mini-pizzas and snacks. I did not feel like socializing but now I wish I went. )= It will be nice to go to the 9 am service. It has been a while. Chad called me while walking to work. He started work at 1:30 pm. He rambled a lot and I was playing UMvC3. He might call me on his break. It is now about 6:50 pm. I asked Ricky if he would pray for Jim with a pastor about Jim’s health card test. Let’s see what else? The Christmas celebration was very good yesterday. My biggest gift was from my mom. She gave a $50 gift card for Starbucks and Battlefront 2 which is coming in the mail. I may actually have a chance with a game like that. He dominates at fighters. I have gotten better at playing against him though. All of us (my brother in law and my sister and their kids and Jim, my mom and my bro Josh) are seeing the new Star Wars movie. Chad loathes it. He keeps sending me links on these movie critics that thrash the film and apparent testimonials from the actors themselves. Mark Hamill said he did not like his part. Still, there are those who love it. I think the Star Wars franchise will just go downhill because Disney owns Lucas Film. What’s even worse is Disney has bought Fox! That will suck. I hope Warner Brother’s is not next. I’m hoping that in light that MvCI has not done so well, people will still play UMvC3. Speaking of games, my bro got me and my bro-in-law Arlen a $20 PS Store gift cards for Christmas. I will use that towards getting a yearlong PS Plus membership to play online. A one year membership is $59.99. I haven’t been to the gym in over a week. Uhg. I will go tomorrow. I’ll ty leaving at 8 am. That means getting up early and doing my two readings. I’ve decided on a prompt for my 7th story. it will be the one where a story is told from the POV of an object. I am thinking of making the object a sword or a scepter. | I got up late again. Oh well. It is Christmas. Call it a Christmas gift to me. Lol. My mom has been cooking all day. She’s making pies: one pumpkin cheesecake pie and one caramel truffle pie. We’ll be bringing them to my sister’s house tomorrow. We scheduled it that way so everyone can be there. Jim should be off. I texted a few people a Merry Christmas. The only two people who seemed happy to hear from me were Ricky and Michael. All the people I texted did reply but were not so enthusiastic in their response. Ann was the least of all. But that is nothing new. Lol. My mom and I were watching a Ninja Warrior spin off called something like Beast Master or something. I don’t remember the exact name. The competitors were from four or five different countries. Among them were France, Italy, China India and the US. I watched two episodes that were an hour each. China was #1 when I turned it off. The challenges were insane. An American chick had this big gash in her arm. She needed like seven stiches. The show was from Netflix. Almost all of the competitors were ripped. They were amazing. I need to edit and read next so I will stop at 5 pm which is about forty minutes from now. I hit the PS4 for a while. My PS Plus membership is gone so I could only play offline in the training mode. I’m still learning to OTG into combos in UMvC3. I’m getting better at it. My winning Thrice Prompted story is in the midst of being judged. Matt will be reviewing my last three stories. I wonder which will be awarded. I spent the most time and effort on the last one. I want to keep going and I think I’ll use the “viewpoint from and object” prompt this time. Jim had to use the computer so time was wasted. It is now half past 5 pm. So I will have to stop here. Until tomorrow. Goodbye. |
| This will be very short as I must edit my story. I got up late. But as usual I did my readings and had coffee. Oh, and I had pizza for breakfast. The most arduous task was going ingredient shopping with my mom. It took two hours almost. Lol. I got three VISA cards: one for both couples and then one for Sarah my older sister. My mom is making some decedent sweets for Christmas - one of which is snickerdoodle cookies that happens to be my favorite. Anyway, we came home with all the groceries and put some on the counter to be used for baking stuff and the perishable ingredients went in the fridge. I read for an hour. There was one long chapter that described the interior of a grand cathedral. Some of it was hard to visualize. Such description will be easier the more I read. In the book something profound happens. The protagonist Aiden, learns that his separated fellow monks have been in Byzantium. That got me excited. Jim will probably come home late tonight as it is Christmas Eve. Albertson’s will be closing early probably around 1 pm or 2 pm. So Jim may have to work in the morning because it will be even busier than today. Well, I have to go and watch something with my mom. | I played too much PS4 today. I did read for an hour though and I revised for asn hour. I did make some corrections and some changes I thought were needed. I was interrupted by Jim who thinks I need a haircut. I think it is fine however. We got a $9.99 coupon for Supercuts. It is convenient because there is one right next to the house in the Albertson’s shopping center where Jim works. My plan was to give my bro and sister-in-law $50 each and my sister and brother-in-law $50 each but Jim talked me out of it into giving $50 per couple. I also wanted to give $50 to my other sister but Jim suggested giving her $25. I’ll do that I think I’ll do that. Well, it looks like my mom will not be going to the store and I won’t be getting my haircut. The coupon was for another location. Normally it costs $15.99. My mom said she’ll take me to the other location soon. Chad called me at like 11:30 am. I did not pick up because my phone was in the other room or something. I don’t remember. He called again at about 12:30 pm. I took that call. He sent me a link called Darth Trump. It was a funny parody. My bro Josh and sister in law Janna will be coming at 6 pm with food. Jim, my mom, and myself have not seen them since they got into town on the 19th. Janna has been feeling bad since they arrived. I forgot she was pregnant. I’m looking forward to seeing them. I wonder what they got for everyone – specifically me. Lol. But I won’t be finding that out until a few days from now. My sister April said that Arlen has heard of Battlefront 2 but j does not like the micro transactions. That basically is using real money to buy stuff and unlock things. I still want to get it. (= DB F Z is coming. I am eager to play that game. Nevertheless, I have to stay focused on my story. The FSFS leader Matt said he will be judging my last three stories. It is a good thing I wrote smaller stories than I’m used to. My mom is making a cheesecake for Christmas. I’m sure that will be tentative. Lol. I’m hungry. I hope they bring a decent amount of food. Jim is off today. It is good because I can’t play any PS4. Instead I’m doing this. Maybe it’s just me but I think MvCI is bad. Nevertheless, people are still buying it. It did just okay on sales. | It was too cold to go to the gym today even at like 10:30 am. And I have had no coffee only caffeinated black tea. I feel good so it must be doing its job. I like fresh hot coffee better of course. Jim said he would pick some up after work. I like the darkest roast. I hope he puts the fresh beans in the store grinder. I’ve grown lazy and I don’t like grinding them myself. Lol. I edited my story for two hours. I want to make it a habit of getting up early and reading from 5 am to 7 am. That will take some getting used to but I need to read daily. My mom and I watched some episodes of Trollhunters. It was nice. They definitely left it for a continuation. We’ll have wait year though. Hit the PS3 for like ten or fifteen minutes. Then I listened to some music and got revising. I went to through my 2nd chapter and my 3rd chapter. I did need to make some changes. I am glad I spotted the problems. I do have a long way to go. I need to read. I’m going to play for an hour then hit the book I’m reading. I only play a max of two hours a day. I don’t get sucked into like when I was young. Back then I played all day. Lol. But, I am older and I can’t do that. But, as my bro said, I’m onto bigger and better things. God has a plan for me. My bro and sister in law have not stopped by yet. They are probably with my sister and her husband. Chad called before work. He usually does that. He rambles a lot. My pharmacy still has not gotten my bloodwork. It’s been over a week since I got my blood drawn. This is ridiculous. My mom is looking on the computer for the results. The situation with my blood work happens frequently. That is my we want another doctor. He never returns the blood requests by continuous faxing and calling. Thank God! We had to call the main lab in Phoenix and they faxed it over to the Pharmacy. My meds are filled and ready to pick up. I still want another doctor. (= I hope it is windy again so I don’t have to go to the gym. I missed my blog for the last four days. It’s good to be back. After I play, I think I will read. I just have to play in moderation. I wish it was not cold. I want junk food. At the same time I want it to be cold so I don’t need to go to the gym in the morning. | There were still some things that needed revising for my 6th Thrice Prompted story. Specifically, there was a location problem where a character appeared to be in two places at once. Lol. I plan to go over it until there are no issues. I’m thinking it will take about two more proofreads to make spot all errors. I was working on my story for a little over an hour. It looks pretty good as of yet. Chad will be working six days straight. He is not looking forward to that. Lol. He called me some time before work. We were discussing the new Star Wars movie. He downloaded it yesterday after I left his house. He said it sucked. Nevertheless, I looked up a number of reviews and the majority of them gave a general kudos to it. Somewhere along the conversation he said there was a gay scene. I told my bro and my mom this and it kind of ruined it for her. That is what I picked up from his rambling. But it ends up the gay scene was something that might have gone into it. Like I just said Chad rambles. Sometimes I have to tell him to stop rambling. I made a mistake and got more soda. I should have gotten green tea. I was paying for it at the check stand and Jim, who works there, was like “More soda?!” I’ll be taking it back tomorrow. I should have picked up some pizzas for me and my mom. Well it looks like I’ll be having shredded beef burritos and my mom is having a kind of Chicken calzone. it has cheese and bacon in it too. Jar Jar Binks is turning to the dark side. Liam Neeson himself said so in a broadcast massage on an entertainment award show. My Bro and sister in law got two new Netflix accounts for us at cost to them. Now my mom and I can watch Trollhunters. We tried using Kodi but it did not work very well. My mom is watching the new season now. She’ll re-watch them with me later. My bro and his wife are excited to visit here in Vegas. They’ll be here in for ten days. We’re all going to try to go to the new Star Wars. I had a good conversation with my friend down the street. I scared him half to death when he opened the door to his house after I knocked lightly at his door. He did not hear me knock and came out to do something and I was right in front of him. Lol. One thing we spoke about was the chips that are put subcutaneously into dogs. We talked about how far technology has gone. Joel, my friend, is getting a porch camera that show on their IPhone. There are also floodlights too. We had a good conversation. I still want to do lunch with Joel some time. We mentioned God and the Bible. I asked him of he is pro LGBT. I told him what that meant and he said he does not judge people. Then I basically told him the Bible is the only Judge and that it is God’s judgement. I said I only want to point people to the Word and let God sent people straight. He said he just tries to be a good person and treat others how he wants to be treated. Then I quoted the verse that says “Love your neighbor as yourself” and “Love God with all your heart, strength and mind.” I paraphrased that last one. Anyway I will stop here. Goodnight. |
| This will be short as it is late. I had a fun time at Chad’s playing Battlefront 2. The graphics are more insane than they looked in the TV add. I had a hard time navigating the camera angle. I loved playing Darth Maul. Lol. I think my brother-on-law Arlen would love it. Chad and I played some old school Genesis games. One was a Double Dragon - Battle Toads crossover and the other was Sonic two. The graphics look so lame compared to todays of course. But that was cutting-edge console graphics back then. Before we played games, we ate some Smash Burger we brought to his house. I was at his house for six hours. I may not see him for a while because he’ll be moving to another part of town. The reason is because his brother Will does not want to keep paying $1,400 a month renting a house. I don’t know where they will be moving. But it will be around January first. Chad had some realty good soft, apple cinnamon cookies. I had like four. Lol. Tonight my mom and I will be watching the new season of Trollhunters. There should be about twelve episodes at least. Chad just texted me saying he is downloading the new Star Wars. There needs to be a better balance between games and my writing. I need to start editing my book every day. I only need to look over my 6th story before I submit it. I’m curious to see how it my last three will be reviewed. Well that is it or now. Goodbye. |
| I failed to get out of bed at 4:27 am again. I also went to the gym a bit late. I was considering not going at all. Lol. My mom is at her new pain management doc now. Her appointment was at 3 pm. It is 4:06 pm now. I was deciding whether or not to go with her. We got some coupons in the mail for Smash Burger. We’ll be bringing some food from there to Chad’s house tomorrow. While I visit Chad, My mom will be at my grandma’s. I don’t want to stay too late. We’ll be playing a lot of Battlefront 2 I’m sure. He’ll probably want to show me his Jason game too. Like I said in a previous entry, I think it looks boring. Basically, you play as people up in a mountain lodge playing hide and seek with Jason. It is very violent too. It’s not my kind of game. We’ll probably watch a movie as well. I have not hit the PS4 today but I may. I wanted to edit my 6th story and do this first. Jim is at work now. My mom said she would give me a call when she is over with her visit. I hope the doctor is a good one. He has very high ratings. He must be with all his degrees. My pharmacy still has not gotten my blood work. I had it done last Thursday. What is the hold up? I think I have enough meds until Monday or so. It seems we always have to stay on top of the blood lab about sending the blood work. I just called my mom with no answer. She probably did not here it or something. Lol. She always misses calls. Sometimes Chad calls when my phone is in my room. And at night I may put it on do not disturb or I click the tone off. Chad still has not called yet. He is off from work. I find that odd. I generally don’t like playing games at night. I’m a morning person. I’ll try playing some later. I hope the online activity does decline because of MvCI. That game looks bad – in a bad way. It looks like it will be a long night for my mom. She planned to go shopping but she said if she is too tired, she’ll just pick something quick to eat. Lance is barking. They’re very muffled and weak but he has been doing this for a few days. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is coming out tomorrow. So is the next season of Trollhunters. It is a preteen to teenage show. My mom and I still like it. Lol. The last season ended with the protagonist crossing into a dimension where the main bad guy is. The protagonist is a teenage runt up against a ten foot tall troll. The teenager has magic armor and sword though. The show in on Netflix so all the episodes are listed together so you can watch them when you want. Well, I’m hungry so I will stop here. Goodbye. |
| I failed to get up early but I did mop the floor. I also took one of my two gym floaters. In other words I can stay home two days out of the month. I got up at about 10 am. I didn’t feel like mopping and going to the gym the same day. Jim swept everything on the driveway into a pile. He had me put the leaves and stuff in the garbage bin. It was an easy job. Jim is off from his second job at Albertson’s. Good for him. He deserves it. Lol. I hit the PS4 for two hours. I was doing pretty well on normal difficulty fighting arcade mode. I think UMvC3 will have pretty good following since MvCI did not do a good job in sales. Only 8k disc versions sold not counting PS store sales were made in the first week I think I recall reading. UMvC3 sold 30k in its first week. Me and Chad loath MvCI. So does a buddy of mine who works at a CVS next to our house. It is not even 3 on 3 – a classic element of the MvC series. Jim and my mom are watching The Voice. They really get into it. Lol. I’ve never liked shows like American Idol and such. I did like American Idol because of the bad tryout people. Some of these things they do are bad and hilarious! So I need to get back to my story. But I want to do it in the right mode so I have been writing other things like the Thrice Prompted. I just watched a link that Michael sent to me on his phone. It was about a dude on a Christian talk show who had a vision of hell. Normally, I would have thought that God does not give such horrific “visions” to Christians. But he provided tons of scripture verses to back up his claim. Near the end of the show, he answered three questions from young atheists – not from the audience but from pre-recorded teenagers. The whole video was an hour and ten minutes. Man was it intense to think of! Right at the end of the show, Chad called from work on his break – talk about timing. He said he requested the 25th off. I told him pretty much everyone is asking for that day off. We’ve yet to decide or know what will be happening for Christmas. My mom mentioned getting a ham and a turkey. I think we need to see what will be happening for everyone else. I personally do not want to clean up all those dishes if lots of people come over. Lol. I’d love it if we went out to eat. Well, my bro and his wife will be here in six days. So I’m looking forward to that. I wish Janna, my bro’s wife, got back to me about getting a Nintendo Switch. It is pricey but I was hoping to split the cost with her. My bro wants to play the Zelda game. He has a Wii U. I’m going to see how it is at 8 am. It should not be too cold once I’m in the sun that is. That way I’ll have more free time. Jim should be working tomorrow. I heard somewhere on the net it is okay to do extended hours on a game as long as you take breaks. But very importantly, you have to do something constructive on the breaks. For me, that would be writing or reading. So I am still praying for God to clearly make it apparent if He wants me to have a job and drive or not. My buddy from church asked if I had a job yet. I was like “Nope.” I told him I got a PS4 Pro. Well, that is it for now. Goodnight. |
