Play along and collect a paycheck every two weeks. |
Hello "26 Paychecks " Players, Here are the results from the reviews I asked you to send for Task 1 and my comments.. Desired prizes: Merit Badges There will definitely be Merit Badges. Aside from the newly commissioned one, I will give out some of my older exclusive merit badges. Seeing writing promoted Good idea. It will be writing that is created in response to something we do here. Gift points Yes, there will be gift points. Every review that is sent through this activity will receive gift points in the form of review rewards. Some of the bi-weekly paychecks will be gift points. Trinkets Yes, there are trinkets. Twelve of them. You will collect them over the course of this year. Review credits Yes, of course. Raffle tickets Good idea. Ideally a raffle held by one of our participants here. Award Icons "I Write" has an exclusive Award Icon that starts with the 25,000 gift points ribbon. That's a "maybe" due to the large group size. Portfolio Award Same as the Award Icon answer. It's a "maybe" because of the amount of funds needed to give these out. Membership renewal To be honest, this isn't something I can afford. In-depth reviews I might offer this. I also have to make sure that I can keep up with what I offer from a time management perspective. Desired tasks: Writing Yes. I hope Task 2 gave everyone a taste for writing. Use a collectible trinket as a prompt (fiction & nonfiction) Fun! If anyone has an idea for this, email me. I'll make the trinket for it. Reviewing Definitely a little bit. Writing for contests Writing for sure. Maybe writing for contests. That's the historic version of "I Write" and maybe one that we'll combine with the reviewing task. Madlibs, In & Outs, Crosswords, Word Searches All good ideas. I would want them to be meaningful to writing and not just busywork. Design C-Notes Sounds like fun, but I'm not going to make these a task because it can take a lot of time and portfolio space. Maybe we'll rather have an activity using C-Notes that already exist on the site. Several participants have C-Note collections. Building tiny challenges for others That sounds like a fun idea. If anyone has a tiny challenge idea, please email it to me. I will see where it best fits into the continuity that I'm working on. Portfolio Blitz I'll leave these to the reviewing groups that have those set up as part of their setup. We'll be more focused with our reviews. Blog entries There will be at least one task that will deal with Blog Entries or Replies. Nobody will be forced to create a whole Blog just for 26 Paychecks. Going to forums and replying to posts I like this idea and this is very likely to be one time task this year. Jay O'Toole |
