I understand, and space junk is definitely a problem. So is light glare off the Starlink satellites.

I'm also cynical enough to know that if they weren't spending their money on space, they also wouldn't be spending it on some altruistic cause. Better (for them) to keep people hungry and desperate enough to work at crap jobs like, say, online delivery warehouses.
