I have quite a list of professions that don't get the respect they deserve.Nurses - they're disrespected by doctors, often blamed by patients, and have a thankless job.Almost every other female medical practitioner - they never seem as respected as male practitioners, and even other doctors tend to show disrespect. BTW: Almost all of my doctors and specialists are female - they listen better.Teachers - a little bias here, but teachers bear the brunt of much criticism for things that are out of their control.Police Officers - Law Enforcement is often painted with a broad brush, which most don't deserve.Artists in all genres and mediums. Art for art's sake has fallen from favor; we don't appreciate it anymore, and as such, those who produce it are undervalued.  ...I'm only the trombone player! |
