Hope deferred, makes the heart sick. I believe you can find that verse in the book of Psalms or Proverbs. That's my current situation ---- heartsick. And I believe I have caused my first love (on this earth) some consternation. The word came to me as I was readying for bed last night. Words come to me, and then I have to look them up to see what they mean----words I don't use frequently. It's like the bible----words get into your heart and the Holy Spirit brings them to your rememberance when you need understanding. "Consternation" is "a sudden, alarming amazement or dread." I'm hoping the "amazement" is the part here; but I am sure there is some "dread" in there as well. I feel like a lovesick teenager and am having trouble "shaking" the feeling.

Work was hectic today. My boss was out all day yesterday, and I spent most of the day reading and printing e-mails since we were in trial all day Friday and off Monday for the Memorial Day Holiday. Today seemed a little overwhelming and frantic ---- from my perspective. I often wonder how we keep up the pace. One step at a time, little by little... I guess. I'm glad it's Wednesday ---- and ----- I get paid Friday. (It should be a pretty good one since all the overtime I've worked since last payday.)

Take care. Have a wonderful evening and may all your dreams come true (except for the bad one's of course).

Missed yoga --- too much time on the computer left me with no driving time. I stopped and Starbucks and then took a long bikeride.

Now, I think I'll get a shower and see if I can get in line to do some laundry.

Here's to a great Memorial Day!

Memories may cause heartache over what might have been. So try not to look back with a lot of "what if's" and "maybe's"; keep pushing forward. God sees; He hears; He knows; and best of all He cares more than you can ever imagine.

The war, albeit trial, is over. There was no verdict against either principal defendant; however, there was a verdict against their company and for our client in the amount of $487,034. However, we weren't exactly pleased with the verdict because the trial was over a contract to build an 87' yacht, hull #34 --- as we wondered how the jurors came up with the figure, we saw their mockery in the numbers. Shame on them. It bothered me as I wondered and pondered the verdict all evening --- wanting to talk about it... without wanting to disturb my boss at the same time. It really is quite disturbing.

All I can say is: We reap what we sow. Put in modern terms: What goes around, comes around. Yet the mockery lingers in my mind -- an intentional misdeed by six members of the society we share. My boss had misgivings about the foreperson from the start and would have stricken him from the jury pool had it not been for our clients wanting him. He was the definite leader of the pack --- yet the pack was willing to follow him into this mockery. It's just hard to comprehend. But that is how "evil" is --- twisted beyond belief.

It's 10:35am and my yoga class starts at 11:30am... So, bon voyage!

It's been a long hard week of late night hours, but tomorrow we finish --- jury instructions at 9am, then closing arguments. The judge has limited each side to one hour of closing argument. Then the jury deliberates and we get a verdict.

I am looking forward to a nice relaxing long weekend of doing nothing but what I want/choose to do.

Hope you've had a great week. Have a happy weekend. (We celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2009 here in the USA.) God bless, take care, and good-night!

Hello there. We've been in trial and will be in trial until the end of this week. So, I've been very busy.

I joined facebook and am just getting reconnected with old friends --- and better connected with family.

Enjoy your day to the fullest; and may the Lord of heaven and earth smile on you and yours as you remember He loves you and is only a prayer away.

Today was our first day of trial. While deliberating, the jury from the trial before us came back in with a questions. They went back out to deliberate while we had brief argument over a few issues. Then the jury from the prior trial came back with a verdict in favor of the Defendant.

That is when our trial officially began without further interruption. We, as counsel for the Plaintiff, gave our Opening Argument, followed by counsel for the Defendants with their Opening Argument. I hope we win because from my point of view, the Defendants are crooks who tried to take advantage of our client.

The trial will proceed tomorrow and is expected to last through the end of next week. After all the hard work and effort, we are finally having fun!

God bless you. Have a wonderful evening. Tomorrow is FRIDAY and also payday for me, thanks be to God! Farewell!

Today has been a very overwhelming day ---- I worked 9.5 hours without a break.

My "mouse" is on the fritz; so, until I get a new one; I'll be staying off the computer. (It's behaving miserably and I don't need any additional stressors this week.)

God bless everyone within the realm wherein we abide together in this life. Have a wonderful week.

Happy Sunday. I'm looking forward to a quick shower and then a short drive to Starbucks where I'll have some coffee and read my bible for awhile before driving back to the office.

Guess what the Lord did for me on Friday. My boss gave me a tape to transcribe. We're in the middle of a trial; papers are all over my desk. I lost the tape! So, I searched and then walked down and simply told my boss that I'd lost it. He said, Don't worry, you'll find it.

Back to my desk, and just as I began to get frantic I thought about the Lord, and said, "God, I need your help." Then I waited a moment, and the answer came. It was at the back copier. The tape was there on the table.

He cares so much about us --- our frame of mind, our peace... important tapes that need to be transcribed. There is nothing too big or too little when it comes to God. The bible says, God is love. His angels are all around us waiting for us to call on God, waiting to do His bidding.

I'm off and running. Our trial starts tomorrow!

         Enjoy your day. =)
