Whose report will you believe? I will believe the report of the Lord.

Tell me, whose report will you believe? I will believe the report of the Lord.

That old chorus is ringing in my ears as I write honestly and openly about my journey.

As Robert Frost said, ...Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. As I read his poem, THE ROAD NOT TAKEN, I believe it may have been written in the fall of his life.

I think about God and how he leads us and always provides choices -- free will -- options. Sometimes either road we may choose is fine with Him. (He let's us choose, already knowing what choice we will make. His Word says that He knows the beginning from the end... and the end from the beginning... and He knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb.) Sometimes one road is His perfect will for us and the other road is not. Yet he never forsakes us along the way. He is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Embrace Him today and let Him lead you in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

I've been meditating on Psalm 23---especially yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me... I believe the world we are living in is the valley of the shadow of death. As I walk along, I'm comforted in knowing He is with me. That His love for me -- never wavers, changes -- is everlasting. It is my desire to follow Him.

Well I was so into myself yesterday that I forgot to pickup a birthday card for my dear sweet sister. Today, God help me remember, to find a card for her.

As I write this entry, I'm listening to Peter, Paul & Mary singing their greatest hits: 500 Miles, If I Had a Hammer, Lemon Tree, Blowin' in the Wind, This Land is Your Land, Leaving on a Jet Plane... My heart is lightened and lifted as I listen and truly hear their music --- obviously inspired by our God.

         Have a wonderful day!

Did August creep up on us, or what? August 4 is my baby sister's birthday. Note to self: pickup a card and stick it in the mail.

I remind myself to sit up straight on this Red fitness stool as I think about my game plan for today. Grab a coffee at Starbucks and drive to the beach to read my bible without distractions. Then head to the gym for a workout and an 11:30am Yoga class.

I workout two days a week and hope that's enough. After work, I'm tired and can't seem to muster the energy to get my butt to the gym. The comforts of home seem to beckon me.

Shoving all excuses to the side, let's have a great day!

I woke up thinking it was Thursday and took a quick look at the calendar. It's hard to forget the date when you date-stamp the mail everyday. So, I believe I'm on track.

You can hear water running at my air conditioner. I hope it's not the one upstairs leaking into the wall, as before. I'll mention it to my landlord so he can check it.

Since I need to get ready for work, better run. Have a nice Thursday.

He's baaack! My boss at the office, that is. He was slam dunkin' those baskets all day. Each time he arrived on the scene, my stomach felt queasy. He is definitely a fast dancer.

At the end of the day, it was almost 6pm --- after starting at 8:30am --- that's a long non-stop day for me. (He's playing catch-up after having been out for a few days last week.) No "easy does it" in my seat.

Pay day --- my reward --- comes Friday. Yes!

Enjoy your week --- work hard, play hard and rest well.

Looking forward to a ferris wheel and cotton candy Saturday... then a slide into home Sunday --- hold the avalanches! Bye for now.

Today is another "phone duty" day at the office; so, I have a few minutes give an update on the goings on in my life.

Yesterday I accidentally took two doses of my medicine... I was groggy all day yet still able to work. I went to bed at 7pm and slept straight through until my alarm clock went off at 6:20am. I've decided to take my medicine as soon as I get to work. That might help me from accidentally double-dosing...

Other than that little mishap, I'm doing well. Letting go of the past and embracing the present and pressing on with that mindset.

Here's to a great week. Happy Wednesday.

Be encouraged, you're here on earth at this time for a reason. The things we go through help us to identify and empathize with others as they go through the same or similar things along their way; our having made it through is an encouragement to them.

God's blessings to you and yours.

Father, today, let us remember that our fight is not with mere flesh and blood but with powers and principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places, hell bent on circumventing our destiny, happiness, joy.

Help us to rise above mediocrity, against all odds.

Bless your people with profound courage, determination and perseverence despite the visible circumstances that often overwhelm us. For if our merciful, loving, ever-forgiving, warm and embracing God is for us, who can be against us.

God bless you this weekend, and make it a point to have fun.
