| Sunday, September 6, 2009 I have made friends with a unique, warm, embracing and diversely creative bunch at my local Starbucks, including staff and precious patrons. All of whom I'm coming to know through our mutual enjoyment of a good cup of coffee and sharing --- lighthearted and friendly, yet deep and profound communication. I'm reminded How great is our God... He takes those who are alone and sets them in families. Have a confoundedly creative, warm and adventurous Sunday for: Great is our God, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God on the mountain of His holiness. | Friday, September 4, 2009 I am recovering nicely from female surgery --- though I am now having hot flashes! Since the surgery I ask, Are you hot or is it me? It's me every time. I am anxious to be back to normal --- able to take a bike ride whenever I want, workout, etc. --- but would rather take it slow than risk complications or a hernia! I trust everyone has had a pleasant week. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some cool weather! |
| Wednesday, September 2, 2009 I had my female surgery on Monday and am on the mend. However, my throat is sore again this morning and my right shoulder hurts. Once I get a shower, I'm hoping to feel significantly better. Have a delightful day. |
| Saturday, August 29, 2009 When you're young, you don't even think about aging --- laugh in it's face because it ain't gonna' happen to you. Then one day you look in the mirror or see a recent photo, and it hits you --- I'm there. A good school friend of mine's father died this week. My friend was kind enough to share some photo's of his dad being honored as a veteran in our hometown --- Monroe, Ohio. It was a village when I lived there. A few years back, Monroe became a city. Weird. Celebrate life on earth! Do as much good as you can! ...in the blink of an eye, we all soon die. May our God smile upon you this fine Saturday. | Thursday, August 27, 2009 After a good night's sleep, I'm feeling much better than I did by yesterday's end. Progress is important for one's soul, spirit, overall and complete well-being. I'll keep plugging away at work; but my unique, personal, communication with the world must progress. I will push, press my way into the brightness, the joy that is so readily available to me. This is my mission, and I choose to accept it! God, I elicit, seek, embrace your help in keeping me focused. Amen. To all my good friends out there, Godspeed! |

| Saturday, August 22, 2009 Lately, I've been pitiful, like the old hamster on a wheel -- running, running, running -- going no where. I'm not quite sure how to break out, but I will begin by spending more time outdoors -- swimming, bicycling, hiking, going to the beach with a good book. I re-embrace my first Love and accept/receive the fruit of His presence: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. God fill me -- replace my downcast spirit with your grace and all merciful goodness. Godspeed! |
| Monday, August 17, 2009 I can hardly believe August is half over... Soon it will be September --- hopefully the weather will begin to cool here in Sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. Of course, the tropical storms and hurricanes are beginning to threaten as they form and head our way. Apparently, there was some sort of a system keeping us hot down here, and at the same time protecting us from severe storms. The skies have been sunny, azure blue, with white billowy clouds. I love the summertime --- hot or not. I'm having outpatient surgery on August 31. So, I covet your prayers. God's will be done. If it's my time to go, I'm ready. So, please just pray His perfect will be accomplished in my life. I hope everyone is having a nice Monday. May you skate your way through the rest of this week. Take care and keep looking up! |
| Saturday, August 1, 2009 It's been a great day... now I'm just a mite bored. It's about 7:21 p.m. We've had two windstorms, followed by pelting rain. My eucalyptus tree was planted today. It's standing strong in a sunny corner by the carport. I hope it grows tall and wide. They can grow up to ten feet a year and can get fairly wide and bushy. I'm thinking about buying something to put around the bottom of it to protect it from the cats. Stinker-butt loves to attack saplings. I'm thinking of trying a new church in the morning... God help me get up and moving. Heaven knows I need the fellowship! Hope your Saturday is swell. Take care. |
