OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

After reading this story I think you should change the title to "There and back, to see how far it is". I state that because that phrase in three of the four paragraphs of this story.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

While the story is a bout driving it is not about learning to drive. It is more correctly about the freedom of being able to drive.

SUGGESTIONS/EDITS:

Sorry it wasn't Atlas. Sisyphus is the King of Corinth who was sentenced to eternally push the bolder up the hill. Atlas is the man who was charged with holding up the sky. T he atlas mountains in Africa are named after him.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I like the premise of learning to drive but did not find that story. Please continue to share your stories.

Review of Civil War Reunion at Pennypacker Mills

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

A Civil War re-enactment from the viewpoint of a young woman. The story goes into detail on the entire day and all the things seen and experienced that day. The comments on the authenticity of the re-enactment helps to detail the efforts made by those trying to re-create those moments in American history.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

I enjoyed the fact that the re-enactment involved more than just the battle but also dealt with things like the people also speaking out against problems like woman's rights and prohibition.

SUGGESTIONS/EDITS:

There was probably a lot more detail that could have been included in the story.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

This is a very interesting and humorous flash fiction story. A newly married couple are feeling the normal stress of not having enough time for each other. Now that they are married they realize they had more time for romance before their marriage than what they seem to have now.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

Jake and Susie are the newly weds that are having some problems in their relationship. Susie's mother suggests they do things together and they go to church. The church is looking for youth counselors. Susie's mother gets Susie to volunteer her and Jake. The problem is the counselors must abstain from sex to demonstrate that for the youth. Newlyweds having to abstain from sex is a very risky venture. I will not give away what happens but it will bring a smile to your face.

SUGGESTIONS/EDITS:

It's good as it is written.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I enjoyed the story and chuckled for ten minutes.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

The story tells of some desert people who have to travel some distance to even get wood. This sci/fi adventure drops immediately into a conflict. It rests mostly on the relationship of two friends.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

Targh D'yer and his friend Sinbe have traveled to the wood supply to bring back wood for a celebration of the marriage of the Headman's daughter. Upon returning instead of a celebration they find thier little town as been attacked by some strange half man half spider. Targh's friend Sinbe is killed while slaying the creature.

SUGGESTIONS/EDITS:

A little more background is necessary.

This is a good beginning. You should expand it. Well done.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

Would the world be a better place if we paid our bills with a a little affection or kindness? I think it just might and this story gives us a glimpse of that society.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

A man, Mr Dyer, pays for a coffee and a newspaper with a smile, a handshake and a wink. He sees a woman paying for a taxi fare with a very ammorus kiss. He wants to take the taxi and he flirts with the woman. It is an interesting scene and I quite enjoyed the concept.

This was a great idea.

I didn't know what to think at first. It seems that some of the competition for the ski-jump event are different shades of green. My first reaction was that perhaps these other contestants were not human. Possibility of people from outer space. As i read more it seems that were were people who just had a shade of green and other who were darker green. The more I the read the more confused I became.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

It seems that they take chlorophyll as a performance enhancing drug.

Make your reason for the colour change more evident.

A short delightful poem about the creation of that delicious dessert item known as brownies. It uses free form verse and gives the ingredient list for the baked treat.

While we are advised if the ingredients we not not given the amount of those ingredients so you have to know how much of each to make the final product edible.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

The story of a dream where the populace is opposed to the king and it seems something terrible is going to happen to them. They are singled out from the rest of the crowd. One of the disturbing feature is the heroine in the story must send her young daughter away. This seems to be the main theme of the story.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

Sarah is the character who is the narrator of the story. Her husband is Red and he is the leader of this group from Hammerton. Her young daughter is Cassie and there is a teaeful parting of the two. The story does not seem to have a full conclusion.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

Romantic plans go awry when Natasha gets everything ready for a special evening with her boyfriend Corey. Corey has gone fishing with his brother Mike. The story changes when he calls her on her cell phone and suggests a time out in their relationship.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

Natasha has been dating Corey for six months and is ready to let their relationship get physical. She sets up his apartment as a romantic getaway and purchases special lingerie, Then his call wanting to slow things down. She gets angry and breaks a few things. He rushes home and has a change of heart. The quick change does not seem realistic to me.

The last paragraph they get physical and this is the erotic portion of the story. I found it a bit tame.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

This story about a man who is taking his first flight. He is nervous and most of the story deals with the fears and problems he has he continues on his flight.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

As we move along in the story we note that Jackson is slowly getting more comfortable with the thought and concept of flying. He is sharing with a fellow passenger when the airplane captain comes on the intercom. This is what we hear "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain. Welcome to Flight Number 293, non-stop service from New York to Los … WATCH OUT! OH, MY GOD!" later he comes back on to explain the stewardess had spilled coffee on his lap. I will not give away the catch line because I want you to read this short comedic story yourself.

It is the eve of independence day. Two hundred and forty years ago the people of the Thirteen American Colonies embarked on a difficult program that resulted in a nation building experiement. The short portion of prose looks at this with wonder that the world thing has not unraveled even as the cultures have progressed and changed in that period.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

I enjoyed the two central questions most of all.

Considering man’s destructive nature, how is it that we still stand?

and

With all our bombs and all our differences. how do we still exist?

Of course we know it is sheer yankee determination.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

I can imagine your first book signing would definitely be an occasion to remember. The events of that evening are detailed as one would in a blog or diary.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

It seems the event occurred in a multi-use setting. Perhaps a mall or plaza. It is referred to the Cube. It is obvious that all this occurred in her home town of Corby, Northamptonshire England. Her writing group helped to fill out the numbers for this event.

SUGGESTIONS/EDITS:

Define who are the people mentioned: Roseanne, Kath. The mother is mentioned but am unsure of who she is. what are twig lets?

This may sound stupid but i have two exposed rolls of film and am afraid to get them developed because of what pictures there might be on that exposed film. My daughter died 13 months ago and could she might appear in those pictures? So the story that you have shared have had a great affect on me.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

I've watched as my wife went through her mother possessions after her death. I know the difficulty she had with just looking at those little trinkets and items that collect. Then you brought out the cylinder of 35 mm film. You used great hesitation as the woman didn't get the pictures developed immediately but we had to wait until the next day. The picture turn out to be great memories and it is blessing to have them.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

In choosing which stories to review I read several but perhaps seemed to gravitate to those with a BDSM theme particularly with a spanking emphasis. So perhaps while I am reviewing your story it rather feeds my own perverted feeling and desires. So right up front let me thank you for meeting my needs with your story.

PLOT & CHARACTERS:

As many erotic stories the character list is usually limited to two person who are actually lovers. I enjoyed the way you presented each of these characters.

Shane is the dominant personality and controls the submissive Michaela and brings her out of her self in order to express her sexuality. He uses spanks and pain interspersed with application of an icecube. He heat the body and then cools it. Actually it is my experience that reheating an iced portion of tender flesh can be very dynamic. Shane is of course the dom and he controls how much impulse she experiences.

Michaela is a submissive who says she does not enjoy the punishment but like the line from Shakespear I think she protests too much and gives her desires away.

The interaction of these characters is exceptional and I definitely enjoyed how you wove their sexual activities into a basket of lust and passion.

He has the evidence. It all adds up to cheating. The entire setup is great and interesting. Somehow he does not achieve catching her.

The entire process seems to point to only one conclusion. The two characters are married and both William and Delores are great and interesting. There is a great twist at the end which is what makes this story terrific.

My question is if this poem is a self evaluation of what in happening. Rudolph like the reindeer whom he bears the same name must follow the path carved out for him. That is being able to lead when called upon.

Like the reindeer it is hard to put up the games that are no fun until the opportunity to lead is placed in his hands.
