Oh boy, does this ever make me interested in a sequel. Tense, dramatic and fantastic, we see the story of a man helplessly and unwillingly turned into a dragon by a mad scientist. Your descriptive skills are excellent, spelling out the scenes for us clearly and convincingly. The characters are sharply framed and intriguing, leading us to wonder what happens next. Does Troy lose his human consciousness? Or does he retain the unforgettable heritage of his humanity?

My only suggestion is perhaps you would want to change the rating from E for Everyone to 13+. It’s a cold blooded and startling tale that lacks closure, and it may not be ok for little kids.

An adorable and charming little story about an unconventionally friendly dragon and his new friend, an equally unconventional princess. Together they put on a lovely show for the kingdom.

Your writing is approachable and fluid, with a warmly sympathetic tone and a humorous fairytale touch. It's perfect for kids and shares a subtle moral about friendship and fun.

I really enjoyed reading this, it was charming and engaging.

Just a few small suggestions:

1. It takes a lot of skill to write rhyming prose, and I see how much work you put into this.
I couldn't help but notice sentences that felt forced or made up, such as
• "And then with a stark, his lips curved into an arc" (the word should probably be "a start" anyway)
• "For they fraught that if they forgot"
• "become quite sappy" (as an opposite to "happy")
• "As the peeps thought seriously of their deplume"
• "A town Cryer had not a job if there were no people for him to run his gob."

2. The word "clan" is misspelled; only the Ku Klux Klan spells it that way *Rolling*

3. "crappie" isn't quite a kids word.

Ok, that's all the negatives I can see*Smile* You did a great job with this; the narrative flows nicely and it's simple to understand and probably fun to read aloud to kids.

Thank you very much for writing this. It's enough to make anyone cry... War is a terrible thing and freedom is never free. Several of my uncles and a grandfather were in the military, and they were blessed to be able to come back alive and well.

I admire the repetition building up to the tragic climax and the personal notes at the beginning and end. You did a good job.

Aww, a warm fuzzy flash fiction piece. This was a comfort to read as I pictured the cute kitty relaxing in his favorite sunny spot. You peeked inside the kitty's mind quite well and encapsulated a beautiful and peaceful scene with just a few well chosen words.

Oh, this is funny. You nailed the twist and the characters and the dialogue, all in 300 words or less. I enjoyed reading it. Well, I can't wait for what happens next either *Rolling* An amusing and off the cuff free verse poem about time travelers who got more than they bargained for.
If given some thought it could be fleshed out to be a more philosophical consideration of the irony of humans becoming the gawked-at zoo creatures... Seems like an episode from the Twilight Zone actually *Smile*
Also, it wouldn't make sense for the last line to be in quotes if it's in the third person.

This is a very nicely written and elegant poem. I enjoyed the descriptive flow and the theme of appreciating and finding the transcendence in a simple garden flower.
As a former gardener myself I carry many memories of flowers and use them in my works.

A beautiful and feminine personification of a tree. I tripped up a little bit at the end because I never heard the term Ent before, but it's fairly obvious through the context.

Hi, I found this using the random review button. These are just my thoughts and feelings about your piece.

First, your writing style is excellent. The narrative and descriptions are engaging and realistic despite the peculiar subject matter, and you approach it with a sense of humor. I chuckled at the musing about the wedding dress, and I was impatient to see what happened next in the fantastical tale.

You missed a word towards the beginning, “searched for object of my desire” needs a definite article “the.”

As I finished it, my first realization was how is it written in the first person if the narrator presumably died “chained to the rhythm?” He would have no chance to write about his experience. Also, what precious memory did the shop owner take from him as payment? Was it the knowledge that the music box had this bewitching power? Also, music boxes don’t sing with angelic voices; they usually have a very simple tinkly piano sound.

Thanks for sharing this fascinating piece with us, I had fun reading it.

Aww, this is sweet. I really like the almost humorous number of elegantly elaborate words included... One may need a dictionary to understand what you mean by "pulchritudinous" or "crepuscular" or "aphelion."

The sentiment is loving and lyrical and well stated. Your verses flow smoothly in almost a Shakespearean fashion.

An amusing rhyming yarn about a dog who didn't fetch. I appreciated the lightly traced description of autumn lake and a duck, especially considering hunting dogs are supposed to fetch the ducks and bring them in. A dog who doesn't understand this crucial concept is hardly worth his salt. But I hope Max found himself an owner more suited to his peculiarities. And I hope the narrator found himself a dog who knows how to fetch *Laugh*

All too true. Your free verse award is hardly an exaggeration, unfortunately. You describe relatable struggles in a straightforward and simple way.

The word "legalize" should rather be "legalese" as the jargon lawyers use is considered its own language like Chinese, japanese, etc.

Phew! That was cute. The dialogue between cat and mouse was amusing, and the action built up quickly and completed fast. I laughed at the realization of the wafer getting stuck in the mousehole - how many times do we see "barking dog things" doing that as well?

One minor grammar error, "my other ear needs to be covered."

Simple and brief, we see a satisfied husband and devoted wife at dinner time. The gentle surprise at the end of the wife being Korean and preparing Asian food is a pleasant extra touch which shows us love can take many forms.

Your poetic flow is easy to read, with the occasional rhyme. I enjoyed this little snapshot of family life.
