Review of To Grass & Water  Open in new Window.
Review by Boz Author IconMail Icon
Rated: E | (4.0)
A poem putting emphasis on the dire effects of drought on plants and animals. In deed, it is a very difficult conjecture with the yellow grass and the dying cattle. There is no life without water. Just imagine one day the planet without any single drop of water. Rain is beneficial to all living creatures. However, the poet has omitted to describe its effects on humanity.

A poem based on the generosity and superiority of God. Here the poet emphasises how magnanimous is the Lord. He should be remembered in both good and bad times. He showers light on us during darkness. In times of distress His help will obviously reach us even if sometimes it is a little late. Every cloud has a silver lining. Your views about God is well depicted in the poem

The poem describes how the lover is a victim of sufferings due to unrequited love. With a broken heart she is condemned to live the rest of her life in this way. Her mind is tormented by the thoughts of the disloyal lover. Moreover, she cannot find anyone to soothe her agonies. Unfortunately it ends on a sad note with no one daring to care for her.

The story revolves around social work and good deeds performed by Mary. She is ever ready to assist any body who needs he help. It's always good to have somebody around to help in case of emergencies. The most striking fact is that she never expects anything in return. Obviously, Mary will be compensated by God. Good deeds never go unnoticed.

The poem reflects how a broken-heart person feels about his her future. There are signs of depression and the fear of being rejected once again. Emotional handicaps will obviously hinder him/her from treading on the same path. but such kind of people need somebody or something to trigger that willingness back.As an example which is well mentioned here is to praise the person about his /her beauty. Eventually, there isa need for support to come out of this marasmus.

Your poem reminds me of my short stay in Ireland in search of a job. The places mentioned are really fantastic. The lines are well painted with easy flowing of the verses. Indeed it brings peace of mind to the visitor. The sites are real feats for the eyes. The picture also contributes much to enhance the poem. But it seems a more a travel item than a poem.

The first two stories attract the attention of the reader due to the fact that they bear a similitude concerning the theme. In fact both are centred on negligence. It is well portrayed how it could have been catastrophic in both cases. It appeals for more precautionary measures on the part of the parents. But the third one is completely different. It has rather an erotic atmosphere with the description of lips and breasts. A real contrast from the two other stories.

But why only after so many years Livi started this love affair with Dean. Wasn't she satisfied with her husband? It seems that Ray was fulfilling the role of the housewife looking at the baby. A poem portraying the miseries and pangs endured by the individual. There is an enumeration of physical and moral sufferings gnawing the person. But what are the reasons for this agony? Why disdain has been so vividly painted? Although the main theme is pain the poet has not been able to really emphasize upon it.

A poem pertaining to a town dedicated to a dear one. The poet is complaining about the the reluctance to share information about his brother;s abode. Review of Valde  Open in new Window.

Tears and regrets. The poem can be summarised in these two words. The lover is being tormented while the other partner seems to be careless.. Only A few lines are enough to explain the state of the mind. Love is something soothing but here it is wrapped with sufferings. Is it necessary to suffer in love?

As per your story a butterfly can raise a storm by flapping its wings. This theory is based on visual and hearsay evidence. But there is no concrete explanation about the scientific or technical aspects. Being an engineer I think you must believe only according to facts. And where's the sin in the story?

A poem depicting the characters of girls when they start growing up. There is a sudden change which cannot be explained. People in their milieu should adapt and make adjustment with their behaviours..But why do they enjoy ladders? Maybe it is regarded as a measurement to estimate the level of growth. But till when will they climb the ladder? Where will they go on reaching the top?

Your poem fits a lot to me. I' also have a son. This relationship is exceptional. Both are attracted towards each other. The son confides his little secrets to his father whom he considers as his best friend. Indeed, they are inseparable and live with the companionship of each other. It is a way of life.

Review of Green & Blue  Open in new Window.
Review by Boz Author IconMail Icon
Rated: E | (3.5)
A poem starting with the display of colours. Green and blue are signs of positiveness in life. But immediately after in the next line the reader comes c across darkness and death. What an inappropriate contrast!. It seems that the author is still in search of the main theme. It needs to be refashioned in an organised way.

A long story narrated in the future. Filled with fiction and suspense it retains the attention of the reader till the end. But which world are you talking about? From your descriptions it gives an indication of the apocalypse..You need a lot of imagination to build up such a work of fiction. Another thing the author keeps the reader in suspense about the royal seal.

A pitiful poem portraying the loss of the beloved one. I can fully understand the feelings of John because I have undergone such moral torments when my wife died from an incurable disease years ago. Indeed it is an irreparable loss which can nobody can replace. As rightly pointed out she will remain in the heart forever.Although you find another person to share your sorrows the first love will remain at the top position

You seem to be enjoying life to the optimum.Settled in the Irish corner with your wife both of you must be leading a peaceful life in that particular haven of your own. I think there is zero stress over there as things are going smoothly and slowly. It must be quite different from the big agglomerations where the speed is 200 km/hour. There is plenty of time relaxation and entertainment. It looks like an ideal region to live.

a poem written in the form of a story portraying the usual brawls among students going to school. Here we see the problem of bullying at school which is becoming a real problem for rectors. This inevitably affects the smooth education of students specially the weaker ones. However, as regards the love between Ted and Cindy it started only after the fighting event- a blessing in disguise!

A poem reflecting on the different views about beauty. Unfortunately, people tend to consider only physical beauty. But it can be interpreted in several ways. It is generally agreed beauty and intelligence rarely go in pairs with each other.. In fact, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Every individual possesses beauty in his own way.. God has created everything beautiful.

An interesting poem written to put emphasis on the value of birds in life. According to the story of Karen it is deduced that the birds were the detonating factor which brought success in her life. She was idle and bored with life. Only a simple incident improved her life. Really, it was a great job caring for animals.

A poem evoking of regrets at the departure of the beloved. The writer gives the impression that he was well cared for and loved during the previous days but now he'/ she is looking again for TLC. Some funny words contribute to diminish the tension created in the lines. The poet still remembers those wonderful moments.

A story depicting the soldier missing badly his family. He gives the impression of being fed up with the war business. Ryan is yearning to meet his family. But he has to continue to fight for his country. The author gives a vivid description of the attack and defense mechanisms of the army. It seems that he/she has really visualised a battle in person. Unknowingly Ryan lost his locket but fortunately he retrieves it after the victory
