Funny ending. I was thinking differently and made my own conclusion before reading the last three lines.
I like your story with a sudden twist at the end.
The truth is .....If this happens to me, I will eat all the ice cream. Also, the story has a nice or a good lesson to share as in do not make a hasty decision. Patience is truly a virtue.
