J. A. Buxton - Oh my! What an unusual story! The deciding factor to click on your story was that of all the animals in God's Kingdom, the opossum is the ONLY one that makes me crazy with disgust.
And here you have met one, made it a pet of sorts and truly communicated with it. I just find that so bizarre and brave of you.
An animal control officer told me that possums are the only animal on this planet that cannot get or carry rabies, so there is a viable reason to safeguard them, scientist and medical researchers are studying them for their natural immunity to rabies. That part is way kuh-ool!
I really enjoyed your description of the late-night concert.
I would probably have some kind of seizure if I actually touched one!
You've really hit all the basics squarely on their heads. Getting to the root of one's personal problems without the sugar-coated whitewash!
An honest, direct, straight from the hip approach that worked extremely well for the ancestors of our nation. And could surely use some of the same dedication and nose-to-the-grindstone, no whining improvements and repairs from this generation
On typos - The first Ah-ha paragraph - Last sentence - "of" where it reads "ot".
God gave me the strength to complete a daylight fast yesterday and then partake of a love gift of New Year's Day food from my son's girlfriend's parents kitchen. Blackeye Peas, Cabbage with Hamhock and Cornbread Muffins. I had a normal serving of peas, no hamhock or cabbage and 2 small cornbread muffins with real butter.
I desired no more food whatsoever. He wants my success M O R E than I do. That has made me snap.
The thinking that will be generated from this piece is not to be dismissed. The power of the written word is incalculable. But rest in this:
God knows!

peachmetaphor - How utterly romantic! This is brimming with psychological power.
You speak with a maturity that may be housed in a young body. I have not checked your Bio Block to see what I might glean from it, so I really winging it here.
I know it's touching in a deep and highly personal way.
Congratulations on weaving a masterpiece.
Lana - When I hear that word today, I don't think of the literal sense, ugly face, wart on nose and long ugly nasty fingernails who worships idols or graven images, **sigh**
I think of someone who treats others ugly, bad attitude, foul mouth, disrespectful actions with no thought of anyone but themselves.
I don't wanna' think like the Dark Ages.
They have had no power over The Son of God at any time in this world, so I'm

Amen Miss Bianca! I had to come visit after that 1-word review and Top Rating!
This subject matter is the best you can choose! And you did it justice! The gratitude is evident and heartfelt. Wish everyone had your desire to thank our Lord for all His S to us.
I'm thanking you today!

gURlllll ...I am still cryin'! Whew! Boy! What a tearjerker! You might warn your readers that this is a two-Kleenex story.
Just superbly crafted, nothing was over-analyzed, over-described, or over-killed. Simply pulling the heart strings with precision as delivered by a 5-year old angel.
How else could it be?
Good Tears,
StormyWindsPsalms148:8
p.s. Oops! I almost forgot, hate to spoil the W&F, but I'm sure you won't mind my pointing out a small error. "Those words of love" paragraph - 2nd sentence - should be, "it changed everything for me ..."
Now, this reflection of Jeffrey is as perfect as he was then. CHEEK Or it will be when you make the correction, I'll then re-rate to 5-Stars!

Mr. Keith - CAN YOU HEAR, IT? Can you hear the applause?
W O W You have done it all, you have captured all the elements. Being the self-confessed meter madness matron that I am, that component is SPARKLING!{That took a while!)
Meter, material is too funny and it's Comic Magic. You have really showcased your timing talents here.
Comedy, of course, being the toughest booger to write, but you breeze through this little ditty as if you do them in your sleep.
S U P E R B - So glad I came.

and there is a sensitive guy you might want to read, getting really popular with the ladies, with his message.
Gee Bob - I was about to rate and run, when I remembered my dedication to fairness and peeked at your bio block and I must say I liked IT better than your story here AND I have no reason to put my finger on, as to why it falls flat for me.
Just seems disconnected, dream-state possibly? Bad trip, or something is out-of-whack for me.
That's why this place is truly unique. So much talent
that finds the bluebloods remaining and the wannabe's "free spirit" searching elsewhere for support.
Hope your having an experience like no other!

Susannah - So smooth, so sweet, so synchronized, told in real time until . . . the Non-sleigh Ride with Santa, on Christmas Eve! Is it magic? Dripping with drama AND a happy ending.
M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S
to all and to all a Good Night!
Hopefully the young lady will come to know that her Creator is with her all the time, every month, every day, every second of her life.
Congratulations on Readings that will garner Christmas tidings for your pleasure.
Cottontail - I had waves of goosebumps throughout this piece. This is so beautifully spiritual! So moving, inspirational and loving.
This poem is such a memorializing tribute to this outstanding woman. I can see and "hear" why she meant so much to you.
I am meter-minded when it comes to poetry and I sing your praises for this almost perfectly executed metered example.
The minor blips barely registered due to the cadence and exceptional content. I'm gonna' read it again, 'cause when an item makes me cry, I am drawn like the proverbial moth to the flame!
Have a terrific Thanksgiving giving God all the Glory.

Oh Judy, oh my sweet Lord. This is so tragically beautiful, tears sprung up quickly. What compassion you demonstrated for this precious old man.
Makes you wonder where their children are, or ANY family member. You, were his angel that saw him through the last seconds of his life. How touching!
I know you are a sensitive lady doing all that's within your power to make these individuals' last days as dignified as possible. What you did was totally selfless.
Judy - Well there you go, just telling it like it is and conceivably will be for the Baby Boomers when that inevibility is forced upon them.
We did it all, didn't we? I mean we protested every facet of American life. The Viet Nam war, civil rights, women's rights (the ERA), environmental issues (Greenpeace among others). Big brother and Corporate America and it's forked tongue. Our challenge was all encompassing and we were FEARLESS.
Remember that (i think it was the Beatles) "All We Are Saying, is give Peace a Chance"
In our idealism we were undaunted in the belief that we could change all these issues.
Sadly that degree of dedication will never be seen again. It was a season that has passed.
Thanks for the stroll down the road of what possibilities lie in wait for us.
And I want a male nurse who can tango!

Your perceptions of traditional Christmas customs will be challenged.
1st line - spelling - it's "imagination"
6th line - spelling - it's "gale" as in gale force
winds.
8th line - opinion - I would use dazzle, omit the "s"
9th line - question - "casting you aimlessly into the
abyss"? this is an admirer?
14th line - spelling - it's "abandoned"
The repetitive use of I amreally works here, it's compelling and magical.
So, if you will make the corrections I listed, I will gladly re-rate it and it will be stellar.
