25 Years ago... Let's see, that would be August 2000. I was working at a Firestone Tire Plant in Decatur Illinois. I was a maintenance supervisor, after having been an Electrical Technician for 2-3 years. Just like when I moved to Motorola, I had no idea how a tire was made. I was assigned to the Curing Department, maintaining the Curing Presses. Y'know, those machines that end up baking your tire so it looks like the one on your car. I was a Mechanic Technician initially, though I have no idea why. My Mechanical Skills were pretty low. Eventually I moved to being an Electrical Technician, which was more in keeping with my background. So I worked as both trades, one of the few to do that. Jim Dorrell{/sig} |
