Yeah, pretty sure the targ thing was in a spin-off novel. If I recall, Wil Wheaton wrote that one.

Seriously, though, yeah, City is often cited as top Trek, and DS9 is great. When someone teases me with "Kirk or Picard?" I'm like "Trick question. It's Sisko."
