I tend to get crazes regarding certain words and how they're spelled or pronounced. My current word is a matter of pronunciation. For some inexplicable reason, talking heads on the television have taken to pronouncing the word "divisive" as di-vizz-iv rather than the obviously correct div-eye-siv. The lunacy of this completely pointless innovation never fails to send me off into lengthy rants and mumbled threats of ultimate grammatical nemesis.
