Christmas has come and gone so quickly. I am hoping to get some laundry done today since I've let it pile up.

I trust you're enjoying the holiday with family and friends. If alone, may the Lord be with you, comfort you and give you peace.

Silliness: Yesterday, at the end of the day, rushing to file a Notice of Appearance in a new case... a case we settled before we were on the record, I used an old notice and forgot to change the case number. So, I electronically filed it to the wrong case-----quickly caught, fixed and filed in the right case. Tough to swallow with a perfectionist mentality. The error is out there for all the world to see (or at least all the parties in the "wrong case"). They are calling, one-by-one, bringing it to my attention. God help me.

I asked the doctor why I am doing crazy things like this; he attributes it to stress. Sometimes I type a crazy word...something close in letters to the word I should have typed, but with totally a different meaning; and when I read back over my work, it's shocking because it felt right when I typed it.

... a day in the life. *Blush*

Another weekend has come and gone. Clarissa, my daughter, graduated nursing school with honors on Saturday and is now, officially, an RN. She is now pursuing her batchelor's degree, beginning January 1. She is ecstatic and I am soo happy and proud of her. She worked hard, persevered and triumphed. She is an overcomer.

I am looking forward to a short work week. Planned to do laundry yesterday but after spending sixteen hours on the road this weekend --- driving back and forth to St. Petersburg --- I needed to rest; and rest, I did.

Blessings to all this fine Christmas week!

Today is my youngest grandson's birthday --- seven years old.

My daughter is graduating from nursing school on Saturday; so tomorrow as soon as I get off work, I'm driving to St. Petersburg, Florida to watch her graduation.

         I'm bustin' with joy!

Mark my words, I plan on writing tonight. Thank you Lord --- my inspiration.

It's a little uncomfortable in the office today since a girl was fired last Friday. Weird.

It is cold today --- in the 40s; low tonight in the 20s. Not sure how it "normally" is in Alabama. Wondering what it's like in Florida this year. We had a cold winter last year.

Have a fabulous Monday, and kiss someone under the mistletoe. *Kiss*

I was wiping up cat puke before 6am this morning... doesn't happen too often. My kitty ate his breakfast too fast and some of it came back up on the floor. Gave it a quick swipe and threw it into a plastic bag and then a toss into the garbage.

Speaking of garbage, I have two small cans --- one in the bathroom and the other under the sink. I've never before had such a small kitchen can, but it fits under the sink and how much garbage can one person really make? I take it out every few days----no biggie----walking to the dumpster provides me with more exercise.

When I got my haircut yesterday, there was a sweet little old man sitting in the shop waiting for his haircut. As I think about ages, my grandma and my parents come to mind. Grandma is 91 and my parents are in their 70s. I'm thinking the sweet little guy in Fantastic Sam's had to be in his mid-to-late 80s --- or early 90s. He had trouble standing from a sitting position, and it seemed to fluster him a bit that I saw him struggle to get up. Guys like to be "macho" ---- even old guys. I wanted to give him a hug---but didn't feel the liberty to do so. When I got home after my cut, I had to think about how easily it was for me to get up and down and that it may not always be so as I get older. Part of living is dying.

I have enjoyed my Saturday. Got my hair cut a little after 9am---then came home and cleaned my apartment. Have the doors and windows open, letting in some fresh air. I'm wondering why I rarely get any mail on Saturdays... Do they take a break at PO on Saturday? Same thing in St. Pete. Weird. I feel compelled to check my box, yet nothing there.

My neck has been bothering me lately----like the bones are a little out of whack. For a whacky girl, I guess that's normal. *RollEyes*

Think I'll get off here and watch some television----rest my achy neck. *Wink*

The tyrant fired a girl I work with today... So sad, and right before Christmas, even. Crocodile tears were falling at 5pm.
