| Wednesday, October 13, 2010 What is it about me that makes one speak with condescension? Lord, watch over me and my mouth; do not let me speak to others with even a hint of derision and/or condescension. Let us respect one another and treat each other with kindness and patience. Let us not defend ourselves, but let the truth be our witness and guide. Be my avenger and my protector and may my words be genuine, soft, comforting and filled with love --- sprinkled with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Amen. |
| October 10, 2010, Sunday 10-10-10 --- we won't pass this way again. Looking forward to another awesome church service this morning. So happy to have found a church, to know where I am supposed to be... My kitty, Goober, and I are enjoying the fresh air this morning. Nice to be able to open the door and let the air wisp inside. Hope to get my butt outside and ride my bicycle this morning. Live real close to a place where alligators congregate. Hope to see a few today. Finally got cable TV yesterday --- er Direct TV with a "dish." The perception is great! |
| Sunday, September 26, 2010 I will be moving sometime within the next three days----according to when my apartment becomes available. Though I haven't seen the interior, I went over and looked at the front and back. It looks like a peaceful retreat. Just what I need. I'll be able to take walks, ride my bike and live in peace. Thank you, Lord. This week has been a roller coaster... and I am ready for a gentle ride on the ferris wheel. Have a refreshing, invigorating and productive week! |

| Saturday, September 18, 2010 Have had a wonderful day. Got my hair cut early this morning, stopped at Starbucks, browsed at TJ Maxx, and washed my car. Mom and dad are out and about; Cindy is working. Think I might take a short snooze after I check on Goober. Happy Saturday! |
| Thursday, September 16, 2010 Jorge's birthday was yesterday. The first birthday in years where we haven't been able to eat dinner together. We usually go to Texas Cattle Company in St. Petersburg to celebrate our birthdays. Since I moved to Alabama at the end of March, we didn't get to celebrate either of our birthdays together this year --- mine in June and his in September. I've been apartment hunting, but the rent is so high here, I think I'll stay with mom and dad for awhile, pay off some bills and try to buy something nearby. Time will tell. My daughter's birthday is next week. Sure do miss her, Tim and the boys. Can't wait to return to St. Pete for a visit. Well, since I'm at work, better sign-off for now. |
| Sunday, September 12, 2010 It is a very pleasant Sunday afternoon. Went to church this morning with the saints at the Abundant Life Christian Center, Daphne, Alabama. The music was Spirit-filled and Spirit-led; and the sermon was spot-on as well. Just what I needed after a crazy week in the world as I know it. After eating a hodge-podge lunch, with Golf playing on the TV, I'm ready for a nap! May my sister, Pammy, and her family have a safe return trip to Ohio today. |
| Monday, September 6, 2010 -- LABOR DAY I am enjoying a very pleasant Labor Day weekend here in Beautiful Alabama this year with family, friends, cookouts, games. Tomorrow I return to work. =) |
| Saturday, September 4, 2010 Sweet September. One of my favorite months of the year. My daughter made her appearance on September 21, 1979... what a ray of sunshine she has been in my life. No matter how dark it gets, she continues to sparkle. It's been a good week. I'm looking forward to the extra day off. One of my youngest sisters is will arrive for a visit sometime late afternoon. Can't wait to see her again... my brother-in-law, neices and nephew. =) I am shaking a leg because I want to get to the gym this morning. Have a remarkably wonderful day. |
| Sunday, August 29, 2010 -- 8:00am It is rainy outside --- for the past four days, the plants are happy, and the air is cool and mild. I look forward to an invigorating meeting with the saints at The Abundant Life Christian Center. It is well with my soul!
