"It Sounded Good" - A winning entry to the "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" written by Sailor M is very funny! A really good story arc for under 300 words too! It's something my own brother and I might have tried to get away with - birds were a favourite culprit as well.
No errors in spelling or grammar detected - A worthy read!
"Shortest, Greatest Novel Never written" was created on November 10th, 2020 by Elby Wordsmith - and at first, I thought it was too short to review - but I read it and related so well to it, that I thought it was certainly worthy of a review. But, was it with intentional irony that the story does not further describe the life lived?
Anyway, it's time to Celebrate! 17 Years on WDC - Congratulations!
"Me and Hubby" A photo of 👼intuey and her husband... it caught my eye because of the year: 1982 - the year my youngest son was born and because 18 is very young
Well, Today you have another Anniversary to Celebrate! 18 Years at WDC!
I loved the main protagonist and their journey to winner from loser. While some may say grammar is an issue in the story - if it were in a cultural journal it would surely win! So there is the moral of the story - there are many platforms to place a story! Write On! - And Happy WDC Anniversary!
"Balloon! Of Lights!" Created: June 4th, 2005 and Modified: March 11th, 2007 - by Stik to My Own Beat this is a picture of what I think is an air-balloon? ... Or neon sign?... of Paris - is a terrificly clear shot done with a digital camera. I think it would make a great motif for a short story, too! (or a picture-prompt for flash fiction)
"The Minute" was written by Barefoot Bob about 19 years ago - in February 2002! Well and truly time for an airing! Hillarious! The best and funniest story I've read in ages!!
Typos
He glanced at his watch again, then over his shoulder, and in a single fluid motion tha wasted little momentum, blew Daughter a kiss ...

Insteaed, he blew his daughter a kiss and was telling Tanya: "That’s cute, dear."
Happy WDC Anniversary! And 500 Gift Points for Funniest Story!
"Winter by my pond" was written by Walnussbaum in 2020 - the year many people turned to writing and contemplation as a way to spend time and make sense of something which had no precedent in recent history. In just three lines the little poem creates strong imagery and is lovely. ... It could easily be extended on - but I agree that it is still complete as it is.
"Peanut Butter OR Jelly?" by Derpington is a little poll created a while ago - I love polls, myself and I could imagine a whole portfolio full of them - which I would sit and do all day!
But .. alas! There is only one in this port!
Oh Well! I'm here for a double agenda... It's Happy WDC Anniversary Day for you!
"Undecided" by stacy was written a long time ago, but the writer is still a member and I think this little starter should be explored further. I got really interested and found that there were no new additions - that's a shame as there is loads of potential for even a complete piece of Flash Fiction.
"A Turn of Events" written by K.L Randolph a couple of years ago is a really good short story (790 words) - with a twist in the tale. Great pace and well written it would seem that the writer is quite experienced i.e. appears to be well planned with a good story arc.
Just a couple of typo's
The smile on the man's face widened (missing an apostrophe in the word mans)
and...
"Well, you see, the funny thing is (missing a comma after the word, Well)
"Chase To Bogota " written by Sailor M for the "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" in the last few days is written with flair and imagination. I found the pace exciting and I could easily see this as movie! The twist in the tale was a real warmer, too!
Here is a fun story written for the "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" by the writer, Sailor M - called "Escape From the Witch " ... reminds me too, of when I enjoyed scaring my younger brothers with impromtu performances of witches and monsters - which had my mother banging on the wall to tell me to stop it.
All written in dialogue and with good pace and constant amusement - no spelling or grammar errors detected, either
It's well written, and reads like the beginning of an absorbing novel. A captivating vignette with lots of great detail, including the judicious use of italics throughout the short story.
"The Disgruntled Planet" is an amusing 'objector' poem from the Planet Pluto by Magoo - whose 14th Anniversary is around the corner! Happy Anniversary!
8 Stanzas - mostly rhyming except for the first stanza in an AB AB sequence. I think it would look great with some graphics and kids would love it too!
"My Nephews, My Sons" - An 1804 word story Written by Lisa Noe whose 9 Year Anniversary is coming up! Happy Anniversary!
I very much enjoyed this heart-warming story of family - issues which might have caused envy or family division have instead, created extra strong bonds and provided the family with reasons to love and cherish one and other. Thankyou for sharing this story - I know that my own two sons have done the same for me!

Now he is taking regular classes, mixed with a few special education classes and he has madeis us all so proud of him.
"Frog on a Hog" written by Serf - - This must've been written while on a long, long drive somewhere... I do it.. I start to think of the most ridiculous scenarious to keep myself awake.
I commend you! I loved and laughed at your nonsense... I wonder if the driver had a lucky break? Happy 17th Anniversary at WDC!
"Paging Theodore." has been penned by Gimlet during November 2012! Happy 17th Anniversary at WDC! It was written for a Flash Fiction Contest and ends with a pun! Well done and very amusing! And Happy 17th Anniversary at WDC!
A good style of writing which is easy to read and understand - some writers are too esoteric and forget that their audience might not get the hang of their inner world.
I don't usually review graphics but as it's an Anniversary Review Day for me, I was looking in this writer's port' and found their celebratory sig item - which I've fallen in love with! The item was created to celebrate their published work! Congratulations and Happy 17th Anniversary at WDC!
Brenpoet lives in the U.K. and writes these poems for her grandchildren - I bet they love them! "Old Ma Nell Visits The Vet" with its accompanying cartoon is perfect!
I love the way the poem/verse is set on the page and the font chosen too - a natural writer and a favourite with young kids - and old kids, like me! Happy Anniversary!
"Lost" written by RatDog - Written as a chapter in "Pass the Write-Baton" - it says. I had to read the story a couple of times, because, by the time I got to the end of it -I thought Billy was the confused person who was talking in the 'first pereson' - at the start.
It seems not - so the writer has demonstrated the confusion most likely experienced by a fading mind, really well. There is empathy and kindness, so that the story has a strange warmth. Well done and Happy Anniversary!
The Queen who normally presides over her Flash Fiction site "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" has some stories of her own! This one, for instance! "Sally" - a Supernatural tale, well told!
Obeying her own rules - the story must be told under 300 words - and it starts with an unlikely Angel... anyone who has experienced the slightest inkling of déjà vu or ESP will relate to this story. Happy Anniversary to you, Arakun the twisted raccoon
"Shimmy and Roscoe" A short story written in 2006 by Adore lol♥ A realistic tale about having to walk the dog - unwilling and without enjoyment, something changes! Suddenly the dog and the walker are united in their quest for safety! A charming read with a satisfying ending!
just a little something ...
Shimmy just shook her head. She did not want to be out walking the him in this weather and was sure to let him know how she felt about it.
Well, NJ - You're becoming quite THE "Daily Flash Fiction Challenge" CHAMPION! Well Done and Congratulations! I have to ask ... did that really happen? Do you have a neighbour who is also a Fan? Perhaps you'll have to put your hand print in and re-name your street: ' 6925 Hollywood Blvd (Grauman's Chinese Theatre)
"The WDC Angel Army" by founder, iKïyå§ama - which is: 'Dedicated to promoting positivity, encouragement, and support to the WDC community.' Anyone can join - and there are plenty of people on Angel Patrol, too!
It is Phenomenal! This Army pretty well underwrites WDC in the sense that it does a lot of the Grunt in looking out for Newbies, enabling Upgrades, an outreach program, reviews... just to name a few matters which this group reliably handles.
The founder has created an absolutely AWESOME Forum, if that is the correct way to describe what this group consistently accomplishes! If ever you see a fundraiser that they're organising - Contribute ASAP! You never know - You might even be the beneficiary of this Mighty Army's munificence!
