I just want to say that suffer from depression also. It is terrible - we do have to keep looking for that rainbow - that is a promise from God. I talk to him daily too - I also have a very private journal where I write out my prayers - I call it 'Letters to God'. I always feel a little better after I do that. He did promise never to leave us! We have had some serious issues in our family this last few weeks and like you said it seems like it will never end. God did not promise that our lives would be free of pain and suffering - but that He would be there to lead us through it and give us comfort. My family truly needs it right now as I am sure you do.
Dear Father, I pray this morning for lewis88 and myself and all others who are going thru trials this morning - we pray for comfort, healing, and the power to move past the depression and to be able to see the light and know that better times are coming. Thank you for always being there for us even if we might not be able to see it. Thank you for your love and caring and comfort. In your name I pray AMEN.
I would also like to mention the NAFP Prayer forum on writing.com. They have wonderful prayer warriors who welcome you to come and pray.
You will be in my prayers, hope you feel better more and more each day!

I like this story, I like short stories and think this would make a good one, I don't know much about poetry. I would like to see this finished and see if the girl comes back to the horse.
I love this!!!! Your story leads you to expect something entirely different and the ending is just perfect! I love it. You say this is your first story and I think it is great - I really hope you keep writing and posting your work.
This is a lovely piece - it is sad to think of a child dying - makes me think of the conversation my great grandson must have had with Jesus when they met. I see him sitting on Jesus lap and laughing.

I liked your story, it did make me smile. Reminded me of my own traumatic time with natures creatures!. Please read "Stay Out of the Corn Bin" in my port.
I loved this! It is really funny - sometimes there is just too much Christmas music! I love Christmas but not for the usual music and fan fare. Christmas is my Savior's birthday!
My honest reaction "gross!" - this is why I don't usually read horror, but your byline was intriguing and I wanted to see how pancakes played out in your story.
I think you wrote it really well and I did not see any corrections needed.
I just read all four chapters and you have my interest, I will look for more chapters to read. I liked it, I did not see anything that needs correcting or fixing.
