This is a nice and elegant way of writing about a feast to honor a decease. I liked the tone and free flowing use of words that enhances the singing component with right mix of celebratory ambiance. This is a nice and elegant piece on circle of life. I understood the theme and flow of thought till the end, just couldn't anticipate the ending. The poem was a comparation of nature and it's perfection and human and their frail ways. I was expecting something of a similar tone in the end. I have been intrigued by your deeper understanding and rather balanced and perfect hold on the title of story or poem you write. As a reader l was attracted to the unconventional title and rather sceptical on how well the story will hold. I was pleasantly surprised with such sudden and creative twist. The introduction on a kids present mental state and dilemma, along with the need to take journey with rich discription of the sorroundings with rich exposure to the emotional balance of the kid did leave a deep impression as well. This short and yet balanced story captures the visual ruins of a beach perfectly. The description part of the delapidated state did leave a deep impression. I was able to follow each and every step of the description like l was watching a short movie of the beach and the person with his bony structure as well. I give you full kudos for capturing a frame of event so very perfectly and it did effect the emotional state of mind as well. As a reader l did wonder how a perfect and lively beach reached such a petrified state.I am a fan and feel there are lots of things you have captured in your imagination vis a vis the deterioration of planets eco system with humans and their insatiable consumption and utter negligence to nature. Overall a descriptive piece you have and I can suggest some more description of the emotional state of the old man to enhance the emotional component as well...sindbad
