I absolutely love your first paragraph. Being a military brat has made
you a wise individual. I wouldn't call you a brat though..its hard changing
lives over and over..new schools, new places, new friends.
"lay low and observe." I love this. I agree! One can learn so much. A person
can monitor, observe, distinguish the behaviors going one..the positives
vs negatives. That's what you did. Don't be too hard on yourself about John.
It's hard for children and young adults..more than grownups realize. You
were torn about a decision. That tare left a scar but you want to know something.
That reveals the wonderful heart you carry inside. Let yourself heal by knowing
you have a loving heart.

I know I should respond to this but I'm not sure....
but here it goes. I have no patience for bullies.
I know they have good..we all do..I believe that.
Sometimes it just doesn't work to ignore or walk
away or telling others. That's all good advice
but confrontation worked for me. In grade school
some boys gave me a hard time..I gave it back.
It worked..they didn't say a single word. I was not
bothered. It wasn't being like they were because
my intent was not cruelty. It was balance :)
I would never bully anyone..I love the smiles.
I know that things could have gone either way but
they didn't..lucky for them :) No boy wants to be
shown by a girl :) Girl power :)
Today though its different...children with weapons is a
whole other ballgame. So I think your advice is best.
Going for help..seeking out counselors or any teacher
you know will listen. And you are right..we are all from
God..he does listen..he does act. I've seen it.
Free Spirit..nothing holds you down..flight is a necessity.

want to be.. When it is time..one will move on..taking
with them enlightenment that brings stability to their next

we are teacher and student. Subjects are endless :)
"His unconditional love" animals tend to have this..I don't see it in
people..wait..yes I do.. in children. Children love their parents
know matter what. Once they start growing and meeting others
then things become different. Ideas are shared, feelings are
felt and taking on the ideals of friends become more important.
This is living though. Its all part of the puzzle that makes sense
in the end.

fears it could go the other way..so she's taken far
away. They want it all.

This is a change from most love poems I've read. The hurt
lover usually feels like death is near..in fact they say they
can't make it. You are strong OR maybe you have gone through
it before :)
The first love sort of plants one in the ground. When the growth
starts, that climb begins again like a vine looking to strangle
someone or wrap themselves around something..hoping a hug
will set them free. (if that makes any sense)
"She has gone and taken my heart." no she didn't. She left it all
behind. That's why you ache so much.
"I may want to cry." its part of healing..its good for you.

You are right..God does say no at times. He has unlimited vision.

why does God allow things to happen..why must children suffer.
Who can answer such a question..but we mustn't allow this to push
us away from God..the good. Children need to see their is hope. They

find "The GOD of all things." He's always with us.

The ending made me smile. It shouldn't ..that's terrible.. the poor guy.
I've known someone like this..even when this individual was free, he
wasn't. He wouldn't change. No matter what he wore the color came
out the same. He had a pattern. This was a decision he made and
tailored on his own. Others where his brand also..families suffer
from the reflection of orange.
I found the story real to life. It can represent many circumstances in life.
Soldiers are admirable. They remind me of Jesus..they
shade blood for us so we can have eternal freedom..
They die for us..giving their lives so we may live. You say
"God has welcomed his honorable son home," so true.
Soldiers are Gods children..we all are. We have our place,
now we have to do our part.

for America he died to protect." This is touching.

place..its not visible to anyone else but I'm there..

Yes..daughters grow up. I left home only after my dad
died. Things would never be the same..I knew it.
Angels watch over us.
I take it you don't like CEO's. It's a job. They have to make a lot of
decisions. Its not always easy. They are like Generals. They
carry the stars..that can be pretty heavy. There's a reason. They
have to be the strategist. They need to make things shine :)
And the first group you talked about..the gambler..its not just
luck..that too takes strategy..a lot of thinking. Decisions, Decisions.
