I take it one has to have a drop in order to see the sky.
Rain can be a good thing..I agree. It's where we quench
our thirst for wisdom. We can then cross the bridge.
Water being under the bridge now..we walk on.
"what a blessing the falling rain is, how necessary
to sustain life, to thank God for the ebb and flow." rain is
needed for all life...concrete and abstract :)
We should all wish to taste the rain today :) Growth

Review of Follow Your Heart  Open in new Window.
Review by 2bemar Author IconMail Icon
Rated: E | (4.5)
This is a beautiful poem but Im reminded of People who
chase a dream by running into another.
Then it becomes a nightmare..no waking up..and
don't want to sleep..work has to be done. One has
to step out of the illusion that everything is okay.
Battling the spirits..this is when the negatives sneak in.
You are right..follow one's heart..that's where the Holy Spirit
resides.
"cherishing everything on our precious Earth." Yes.
"In time, you'll reap what you sow." Maybe if it doesn't rain
anymore, I won't have to worry about it.

Review of PURE WATER  Open in new Window.
Review by 2bemar Author IconMail Icon
Rated: E | (4.5)
Your poem makes a lot of sense. The sky does cry
with polluted rain drops like our tears of sadness
full of stress. The one difference is..we feel cleansed
after a cry. Nature has to carry our burden of pollution
no matter what.

Jesus cries his tears to purify the earth..so we may
live one more day. It cleans the dirty we make
but never leaves nature the same.
Jesus bled water..the skies opened.

We are mostly water. We swallow the drink
we make. What we put in the air..it rains on us.
Nature does have its way of getting even :)

Review of Love's Touch  Open in new Window.
Review by 2bemar Author IconMail Icon
Rated: 18+ | (5.0)
This is beautiful. The things you talk about in the poem
shed light. Here: " I cherish your visit from a realm far above"
this is true..it happens. Also where you say:
"Dark spirits still struggle for placement and power,
Love, you're a beacon shining down from a tower."
The dark spirits can be the struggle within self. The sadness
and possibly anger that has to fight off demons..Then one
sees the light..the beacon..it guides you to safety. That beacon
being him. We all have angels.

This is a lovely poem. I love where you say: "Deep breath. You're here now;"
I can feel the clam..the touch..all senses open at rest allowing him to enter.

Review of WEATHERED STONES  Open in new Window.

This poem is considerate...made by a caring person.
Those weathered stones are in an old cemetery.
It's nice you visit. A lot of times they become the
forgotten. I guess that will happen to most of us.
I hope someone like you comes along now and again
to pay a visit. Im thanking you now for the others and
for me. :)

Very good poem.

Review of Mothers  Open in new Window.

Grandparents seem to be wiser than their children ..our parents.
I saw that especially with my grandpas. My dad was smart and
everything but there's something about grandpa.. Sounds like a
movie "Something About Grandpa" :) My dad must have felt it too.
He had great respect for him :)
You story is called "Mothers." I picked up on the grandparents more.
But I see the point..the mothers in the story..all mothers.

The pills become more and more..its called tolerance. Evil creeps in.
I am familiar with your story. I didn't get beaten nor hit too often..my
dragons would come out. It would scare him :) They gave me strength.
The angel sang.
"If I could have laid down and died then I would have," then God
came.
I tried helping him but ended up having to save myself.
The gift was given..second sight :)

This is sweet. I agree with you..the "spirit never dies".
There's also a strength, a courage that comes with
everyone..each of us carrying our own. It drives
the spirit with faith. This spirit is our liveliness. Sometimes
situations can dull the light but again our will, our essence
of living carries us through. Your spirit is who you are. I see
by reading the poem you are building your legacy. You are
moving on...".Remember the sun will shine after the rain,"
how wonderful that is.

Don't worry about Santa..he has something for everyone.
I'm sure he's made mistakes before..he'll get over it.

It sounds like maybe Santa had fun. The guy who's looking
for naughty and nice..found it. :)

You dared, dreamed and did. I dont think a lot things work out
for Santa. He has trouble with the dear :)

Really nice. I like everything about it. My favorite lines are:
"The little freckles on her cheeks, bring out her Irish grace,
like tiny stardust from the fairies, sprinkled on her face."
So sweet. It sings :)

The speechlessness..meaning the communication in the
animals actions. The eyes..eyes are so giving..saying so much.
They scream at times. Its strange how we depend on sound
when there's plenty of messages given in silence.
I love this.."we can create affection and love, without "words".
Yes..I absolutely agree

Depression can be a body consuming monster if we allow it.
It swallows happiness it such an awful way. One trying to hold
on..darkness settling down inside...evil finds its space between
each negative thought. Asking for God saves..honest.
You brought all this to mind when you said "I welcome you - O' sweet death."

Review of Cookie Parts  Open in new Window.

This is a sweet story :) You seem to know kids. I think its
nice a mother giving in occasionally. I love baking. Id make
them some nice chewy peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
Maybe I'd have a pig out day. Giving me and the kids more than
one. :)
Have you ever eaten a bug? One flew in my mouth once. A small one.
AND a bee stung me on the tip of my tongue once..honest.

I love how you make the forest alive. So much is going on and
you express that well. "Whispering in the wind to me" communicating
with nature..awesome :)
I like this.."And although I did not seek that open door,Find mother nature’s invitation
Much too lovely to ignore." Mother's are care givers..well...should be. Mother's
make sure the child the family is tended to. This explains why mother earth
calls for us..she gives us tell tale tell signs. We must connect with what we
are part of..nature. Family is important :)
Good poem. Very good

This is a good story for children and adults :) Sometimes
I think it takes simplicity to gain understanding. Im all for it :)
I like the communication between the donkey and sheep.
Also seeing things through the eyes of an animal. I know
animals can really relate to humans. Maybe thats because
humans are animals too. We just set ourselves in a higher
level...this getting us into trouble :)

Your story was nice. Thank you

Review of Fifteen Horses  Open in new Window.
Review by 2bemar Author IconMail Icon
Rated: ASR | (4.5)
Why 15? That number must mean something.
This poem is a history lesson :)Letting the spirits
guide you..I love that. I realize something..not
only were the warriors special the horses were too.
They each had their part. The two worked together..
a team. I take it..each Indian had to know his horse.
Indians are totally one with nature. We can learn
so much from this from your people. We let it all
go over greed. Im sorry.

I like your poem. Thank you for sharing it :)
One more thing..where you say:
"Medicine bundles worn around their necks, close
To defend and cherish their gift of Mother Earth"
No medic needed. You carried your own supply :)
So in touch with nature.

I like this story. I believe children can see far more than adults.
They set no limits only the ones we teach them..then things change.
Why must the parents be upset over the children's sight. I think its
a gift..maybe things seen aren't always the ones we want but its
there..its life. Somethings can't be explained but time will tell.

Your story touches my heart. People don't like what they don't
understand. Why can't we just open our hearts..our minds.
This statement is saying a lot.."His “ways” came from your side
of the family. Your father always predicting the terrible future was evil.”
I guess everything else is from the other side :) parents can be terrible
to one another..something children learn.
