A very meaningful story based on personal experience that also speaks of the kindness of your heart.
Yes...in a busy metropolis where I believe there's abundance of many things in life it is sad to note that some people are searching for food and drinks to answer to their hunger and quenched their thirst.
I lived in the busy metropolis for almost four decades and my family and me are now back at the countryside right after I retired from the Corporate World that I belonged for years .
Living here in the province, I can see the difference of lifestyle and I never have seen such hungry person searching for food at the garbage basket or waste basket .
Truly it is a very sad reality that makes me wish and pray that such happening stops that everyone has a decent meal to enjoy.
I don't want to be judgmental. I just want to believe that there must be a good reason why such pitiful situation happens to some people yet it is so heartbreaking to see people especially children begging for food.
This story is well written and very touching .

Yes, I agree with your grandmother in telling you about your hair was your crowning glory and that it must be taken care of always.
This is a very interesting puzzle and I agree also with the chosen words.
Here in the Philippines, our Mama when we were children she put some coconut milk in our hair before she put a shampoo then rinse it thoroughly. It was done once a week and our hair was shiny and turned more black and I love touching it's softness.
