Learning the piano is a task indeed. Here we have the fingers telling us what they think. They don't want to play. They get confused. They are running out of patience with our character. In fact they are pretty harsh with their opinion of her playing.
She wonders if she should have listened to them in the first place.

This is good. A young woman is unhappy where she is. She makes a call to her family but they assume everything is alright. She won't tell them. Perhaps it is her pride. Maybe she thinks she will give it a bit more time.

Bottom line is she wants to come home and is torn up inside.
This should be easy for others to relate to. Pretending or perhaps sparing her family.
Truth be known her father would probably drop everything and come and get her or send her the money to come home.

Her family has been going on under the illusion that she was doing fine. Her phone call was just a happy surprise.

Good job getting into your character mind.
You showed how conflicted she is about her circumstances.

Our character is lost in the events of yesterday and it is keeping her from stepping into tomorrow. Apparently, she has suffered some hard knocks that have hurt her deeply inside. She remembers another time when things were carefree and life was an adventure.
She can only dream of those times but dwells on those sadder times.
She doesn't understand why she can't escape this pit she is stuck in. The walls are too high. There is no one above her to help her see a better way.
She feels trapped and like her choices are taken away by the past.
She tries to keep her sadness inside so no one asks her any personal questions.
Close friends should be able to tell something is troubling her.
She needs a listener, a compassionate angel to help her sort things out.
When she can turn away from the path of pain and move down the waiting path of freedom; she will find herself again.

Once gone, the lover sends a letter and reassures the other that nothing has changed. Soon they will be together again.

This all takes place in the view of a Camera:

Picture a beautiful ring in the jewelry case in a jewelry store.
The camera moves out enough to let us know the stores name.
Then the camera zooms in on a dark man looking through the window.
We all recognize this sinister man LORD SAURON.
One would think he would have enough rings without going to a shopping mall.Ha!

I think there might be a some OCD involved here.Ha!

Here we have a writer who thinks his writing is no good. Some reviewers tell him sweet stuff. In his mind he knows he should and wishes he could do better.
The only true critic that tells him straight is his wife. He loves her for her honesty.

Picture yourself on a freeway as the other cars pass by. Strangers, all with lives of their own, making their way to wherever.
Have you ever wondered about them as our author suggest in the piece?
Who knows, one might be mad or sad. Perhaps they are happy and excited.
Could they be on a joy ride or do they really have a destination?
Well, we will never know.
Kinda like when we walk along on a city street.
In a way, it is a bit sad. So many strangers and no friends.

Two different people form a relationship. He is a singer and she a society girl. She might have thought she loved him and the excitement at first. Now she realizes there are to many differences. As the piece suggest; two extreme world colliding. Very well put.

When you love someone there is always something special about them. Here she loves his kiss. She finds herself breathless after that kiss.
She wants this relationship to go on and on.

Those cute little yellow weeds pop up every where. They manage to make a show in almost every ones garden. Actually I think they are a bit charming and misjudged.
Our author decides to make a special place for them to do as they please. If they choose to make a statement, let it be. They even show up on hillsides and valleys. Who knows what Gods plan is? Maybe it's a form of sunshine spreading across our land.

We spend so much time trying to have confidence in our government. When Katrina hit it was a disaster. The response from the government was a disaster as well.
I remember, too well, seeing those people all gathered inside the stadium just wanting water.
WATER. For Pete sake the looks on their faces as the people walked around. Some on boats trying to save others. Some actually wading through the water. People who cared enough. Trapped on their roofs.
I know God tests us from time to time. These are the times we are suppose to put our brothers and sisters well being first and foremost.
All those talking heads saying how awful it was but they didn't get down and dirty to help. Did they?

Ok. You really had me going.
A fancy affair.
A blind date that seemed to be working out.
A handsome couple that caught the eye of on lookers.
There are so many possible endings. They walked off into the sunset. The left in a limo. They were crowned king and queen of the prom etc.
For Pete's sake; you are one sneaky writer.

I must admit I had to read it over again to see how it all fit together differently than expected.

The author remind us that love is unpredictable and full of emotions. Sometimes it's wonderful and other times it is hard to figure out.

We have a king with a queen that loved him. He was tempted by the curse of a greener kingdom. If he choose to, he could quickly change his life. Apparently his queen had been cursed as well. Her king couldn't make up his mind what he wanted.
Well, she couldn't take it any longer. She had all he really needed but he wanted more.
A sad ending for his queen but a new beginning for the king.

Our author put a dream to pen to create this. Not bad.

Sometimes love just isn't enough.

Our author brings us a 'wake me up' piece this beautiful day. There are so many things in this world and in our lives that go unnoticed.
Mentioning a mellow breeze on a spring day; is one of those things we simply take for granted.

We just assume another will come when we do give it a thought.
There is only one in charge of that blessing and that is our Lord.
For Pete's sake people look with your hearts and not with just you eyes.
Find the miracle that is.

Boy, does this bring back memories. Those cares were like tanks. Safe and secure inside. My favorite was the 57 Chevy. White tuck and roll.
Red and sparkling hubs.
There was a road outside of town that we would us for racing. Man was that a sight. The small town cops didn't even bother us. Everybody knew everybody.
Then the driving up and down main street with only one traffic light.
Yes the Dairy Queen and the occasional fight.

She is alone and trying to adjust to being left behind. Young love seems so magic and then it's over. She is crushed and he has moved on with his dreams. She calls it a nightmare and implies that 'there is a real nightmare' in her body.
Could she be pregnant?
Is that why she is so scared?

He was the lone survivor after the fighting. He had to keep his head clear enough to signal a chopper to take the dead and wounded back to base. After making his way through the bodies and grabbing extra ammo.
Two flares might work. Then he heard a noise.
He dropped down and pretended to be one of the dead. One remaining enemy soldier walking around.

There they were two enemies on the battle ground of the dead. Looking at their comrades and probably wondering why.

Our character got back home and tells about surviving the fight and doing what was necessary.

So many things were working against our guys.
The tunnels, land mines.

He left his ranch a long time ago to see what the world had to offer. He was lonely on the ranch and might have been looking for excitement. Finding plenty of adventures over the years; he comes back to the ranch. His parents are gone and the ranch has become run down. So now he reflects on what to do.
Apparently his brain is a bit foggy and confused.
While looking out the window he sees the fog on the mountains lifting. He can see clearly now. Could this be a sign for him?
Saying goodbye to his life before isn't so hard now because he has so much living to do.

This was her first turkey. Everything looked perfect for her coming guests. She claimed she was too nervous to eat. Meanwhile the guests were having a grand old time. One neighbor came she argued with before. Her old best friend showed up as well.
People started getting sick and she called for help.

Could it be just my suspicious nature or did she plan this?

A man is afraid of so many things. Eventually the fear keeps him for doing anything outside his own home. This apparently was his safe sanctuary for the dangers out in the world.
Granted he was alone.
Granted he had a TV.
Apparently he didn't feel safe enough to open his front door which allowed him to starve to death.
So in the end fear of living actually killed him.
So remember if you let fear rule your life, you give up your ability to live.

A young man is trying to deal with the ups and downs of his lady. She goes from happy to angry in a split second. From the tone of the piece is sound like the guy is a bit afraid to open his mouth.
He can't understand how she can flip so quickly.
Angry over mundane things.
A friend listens but has no advice.
Even the friend is perplexed with her actions.
The friend wishes the guy luck.
We all know love never runs smoothly but sometimes it doesn't run at all.

A bit of humor felt here.
Some confusion is felt on the part of the guy as well.

Two friends meet and one has some news. They had been friends for a long time.
The news will change so many things. The distance and time will be hard to deal with for each of them.
Being a part of each others life for so long makes goodbye so very sad.
She tells him she will be gone in a week and it breaks his heart.
He must make this the moment he makes his feelings known.
She had no idea that he loved her but she belongs to another. The last thing he said is he will wait. She knows in her heart he will.

The piece feels so natural.
You captured the emotions well.

As the piece suggest we are all actors. The stage is where those that watch the play can decide whether we are convincing or not. If you start out lying to yourself; playing the part just won't be right.
So our character has played long enough. No love and no way to keep up the act. The play is ending and she exits.
Going through the motions of total love and devotion, must be played by those who really feel that way.
Otherwise, Broadway is out of the question and so isn't the future.

Good job with this. The descriptions appeared to be something bad moving. Tears, falling and yelling could lead one to believe it might be a scene from a battle.
